It is impossible to collect the Eyes of Innocence and the Horn of an Ancient Rhino for Liu Fei's quest

Basic Info:

Platform: Steam
Issue Type: Gameplay
Game Mode: Online Official
Server Type: PvE
Map: Exiled Lands
Server Name: 1045
Mods: None

Bug Description:

It is impossible to complete Liu Fei’s quest due to an error in collecting resources for the task.

Bug Reproduction:

After the update (03/25/2025), items for Liu Fei’s quest are not collected. The eye of the innocent and the horn of the Ancient Rhinoceros no longer fall out when butchering a corpse. I tried butchering with a knife, a pickaxe, an axe, a cleaver. There is no way to get these resources after the upgrade.

And now it’s not possible to butcher the corpse of a baby antelope. There is no loot at all when butchering.

It is unfortunate they used the same image for both Eyes of Innocence and Eyes of Set. Eyes of Set can be found in that chest, you use it to learn the religion of Set or for zeal on a religious altar, other than Set.

Currently Eyes of Innocence and Ancient Rhino horns cannot be harvested.

When did this happen? They were dropping when Age of Heroes came out.

Ah, you are of course correct, pardon me, as for or the horn, I have had them drop from the 3-skull rhinos lately, but I would not put my words before Kiki’s, so, listen to her/him.

Why are you writing false information??
To date, you can’T get the items for Liu Fei’s assignment ANYWHERE!
Read carefully what I wrote and don’t mislead people! Because of people like you, the developers will think that there is no problem and will not fix the bug!

The eyes behind Set’s altar are called the “Eye of Set” and have nothing to do with the Eyes of the Innocent!
The horn from the rhino boss does not drop out after the upgrade!

Check the information before writing here! :face_with_diagonal_mouth:

It was a simple misunderstanding that was cleared up in further comments. But you’re right, we do have to be careful about what information we present.

If you read the thread, you might find I was duly corrected and accepted my mistakes. In general, one should do that before embarking on a moral crusade.

By Cheng-Ho’s grace, you found it!

I took what I posted down, cleaning the food stain I left on this kitchen as much as I could, sort of speak. I should have thought of that as soon as I realized I was very much wrong on my assertions; my bad. I shall be more careful.

I get why you’d want to but I think the reaction didn’t match the situation. It was a simple misunderstanding, plus the patch is only like 2 weeks old and not everyone is going to experience everything in that time. You’re fine.

How much aggression for a mistake omg

Funcom any prediction for this adjustment? I really intend to complete Liu Fei’s journey.

they stopped doing all content updates or making new events to do bug fixes once every 6 months, so prolly 6 months from now tbh. hence why some game breaking bugs are still in game for years. months to years gaps in-between fixing a few of them

Speaking of misinformation…

The longest Funcom ever went without releasing a patch was eight months between 2.8 and 3.0. There has never been one, much less multiple years between patches and every patch has included bug fixes.

We will probably not have to wait for six months for them to fix this issue as:

The problem is that they fix 3 and 6 new ones appear. Some path notes have already become a meme.

When making new content, there will be new bugs. That is the nature of game development and there are no exceptions for any game ever.

When they switched from new content to bug fixes, they fixed far more than they added.

Of course, even prior to that, they never added twice as many bugs as they fixed. Every major update has had around thirty bug fixes and nowhere near sixty new ones. People just conveniently forget bugs as soon as they are fixed and don’t affect their gameplay anymore.
