So I made a melodoris grand champion lure, and it says that it will be ready in 24 hours. It’s been 2 days and it’s still saying 21 hours, why?

No it’s not, I’m literally in the process and standing in front of it right now

My bad, they changed the end date on that a couple times because some one couldn’t manage to get it turned on on time on all servers. Ends tomorrow.

But do not be surprised if some one oops a timer setting.
I do not know who is handling the sever settings but they need retraining. Settings screw up are getting too common.

No worries. Well that sucks and I’m on an official server. It appears to be only going down while I’m online, I guess I won’t be finishing this lol

It’s been like that since the event first released. It’s one of the reasons why fighting and acquiring the bear is stupidly annoying. I only got one and I don’t plan on getting any more. They’re kinda meh anyway. You’re not missing out. The event will be back. Just let it decay on its own and put it away for next time.

My workaround was using the furnace…
Other said it just works fine now in normal crates, etc…

anyway, event ends tomorrow…

So I just logged back in and the timer has now gone up to 28 hours. Good job funcom

that’s what hapens when you put it in a furnace unfortunately…they “conserve” stuff with decay timers…like the thrall bowl thing and so on.

I just need to accept that I’m not going to get it done I suppose. Unfortunate
While I’m on here already complaining I broke into al-merayah killed the boss and got nothing. What a boring Castle with no reward. Well back to the grind. Thanks everyone

But be very careful! I often had it, that the heap “says” something like 2h 15min, and when you come back after 1h, your sample is already decayed…

If you play on an official pve server, your best bet is to lay down in a place that many players pass by. This decay timer is running while you, or other players are around. Many players were sleeping in the event area just for this reason. Once Andy (our community manager) suggested to place it in a chest before we log out, but it didn’t worked either :laughing:. Other people fix open taverns, knowing that other players may go there and seek for hiring thralls and place the lure in a chest there. I did it and it removed 5 hours once.
But generally it’s something that surely needs different mechanic, nobody i know likes, neither justify the reason of this timer, it’s simply stupid for all of them and i agree. Eventually Funcom devs must understand that encouraging grinding and irregular gaming hours is not correct.

All Mera yah has plenty of beautiful loot.
All the soldiers drop hardened steel weapons, food, potions and buffs. Musashi is right there waiting to be stolen.
A couple rams, a couple library recipes, many jars, end game materials on chests and other explosives.
Over 10k gold to the boss stage.
Define nothing again fellow exile?

All stuff you can get elsewhere. I’ve gotten that blade elsewhere before also. I’d like to see something original. Hardened steel weapons can be made on your table.

Correct. The time locking of steps within quests and special events is an especial annoyance.

It is obvious these decisions are made by folks who do not play the game in regular mode.

True, but with rng! Musashi is right there all the time in the same spot, easy to get and no rng at all.
Then again, how fast can you get 10k gold in the game elsewhere?
Or where else you can use god Avatars and trebuchet on pve servers?
But i also wonder my fellow exile, which other “dungeon” is so aggressive like Al Mera yah is? Facing every other dungeon alone is easy, breaking in from the very first door in Al Mera yah is truly exiting. It’s similar to a level 8 purge alone.
It’s really good and really fun, especially while doing it with others :blush:.
I am on PlayStation too my fellow exile, hesitate not to call me on your server, fun is guaranteed :metal:.
Trust me, Al Mera yah rocks!

Yes but where are you going to spend that much gold LOL. I was just hoping that there would be like some special armor or a special weapon or something. I did it all by myself. Yes come on my server show me the way LOL PVE 3531 :smiling_face:
