Malodorous Grand Champion lure does not decay while offline

Is the entire stack being prepared at the same time in 24 hours, or do the damn… corrupted baits need to be divided into 1 piece?

I divided them all up in stacks of 1.
You can check it yourself, when you get to your base split your stack if you have more then one and you will see that the nr 2 has max duration. Same goes for the horns. This is how my “incubator” looks.

Why you need so many bears for?

Standard bait costs 10.
When killing the initial boss, we receives ~16 -10 = +6 teeth.
Intermediate boss bait = 10+ 3 parts from small bosses. Result ~ 46-10 = +36
Baiting the final boss costs 10 + 3 parts +1 blood + time. The output is ~50 - 10 = +40 and a Bear satellite.
! We also need to spend a potion (-3 teeth) on all the bosses in the dungeon, which we will lose if the server crashes, but we can also lose the bait at any moment !
Since the spawn of small bosses (panther, mammoth and rhinoceros) takes 5 minutes to recharge, you can include the werewolf boss and his blood in this 5-minute cycle. Should you throw blood away? Additionally, from my observations, the little werewolf boss produces more teeth than the average of any one of the other three.
To get it ones the “prizes” you need… 3’630 teeth. Believe me, during this time you will have a lot of boss werewolf blood. And if you want several werewolf companions (-250 teeth), then you need even more teeth.

I do not need that many bears but the final boss gives the most teeth as a reward, i got between 50 and 70 from him on these 4 kills i did.
So to me it seems that it’s worth doing that.

Had the same issue with the decay timer not working when I logged off on a PVE Official server PlayStation.

Moved 4 lures to a chest before logging off last night. Woke up and still have 23.07 on the timer to go. They should have decayed down to 14 hours or so.

So it appears even moving the into a chest isn’t working to reduce the timer.

Going by my limited experience what seems to be happening is that in order for the lure to make decay progress while in a chest someone must be logged in and near enough for the chest to be rendered in-game. Would work fine on a busy server in a busy place otherwise there would be no progress at all.

Just like golems don’t harvest anything unless someone is nearby.

I doubt that is the case and i can tell you why as well :slight_smile:
I play on official so no mods. I got 2 bases one in the snow area far away from where someone would normally go. The other in the jungle also at an out of the way spot.
Sometimes my decay works sometimes it does not and it is not limited to only these lures and horns. My jungle base is where i do my fishing and composting. Sometimes i return and no compost has been made and all the fish and meat are gone. But also sometimes the compost is not made but the meat is still in the compost bin only a few pieces less then the day before when i put it in while the one next to it has composted it all.
Yesterday i did a few of the tainted lure fights and got some horns. Sadly they have not decayed overnight and are still in the 23 hour range but on other days the lures that were in the same box did decay overnight.
So while i think you are correct in thinking that there is a trigger i doubt it is that someone has to be in render range all the time.

Same on x box its only decays when you are online in box or on your inventory and you not can put it in the compost :pleading_face:
