Server failed to respond to query. The server was shut down yesterday. I would like to know if the server will work or not?

Search for the server here, it gives you far more information regarding the server than anyone will be able to here.

‘‘Server status dead’’ I understand that this means that the server is closed forever? And it turns out that I lost all my buildings and the hero. Two years of the game in one moment flushed down the toilet.
Extremely unlikely. More likely it means the server is not currently working. Just like another server last week where a whole bunch of people complained about how their server had been ‘shut down’ and they had ‘lost everything’, only for it to turn out there was a problem and it got fixed. Most of them didn’t bother correcting their claims, just went back to playing as if they hadn’t been so certain that Funcom had permanently closed their server without warning. Fortunately one or two did have the sense to post that it was fixed or no one elses would know that it ever had been. They were also the ones that were sensible enough to report the problem to Funcom’s helpdesk, which is probably why it was able to be fixed and which is probably what you should do.

Servers like pc’s sometimes get stuck in a loop for whatever reason and only a restart will restore this, as @DanQuixote suggested reporting to funcom will resolve this as they are the ones that manage the servers, I only posted the link to the site for information so that you can have a better understanding as to whether it is your pc, internet or the server itself.

There is something to be aware of regarding battlemetrics and possibly similar sites as well. Over the years the IP addresses of at least some of the CE servers have changed but battlemetrics will still have an entry for the server at the old IP and list it as dead. Doesn’t mean that server is actually dead and gone. It’s just using a different IP.

No worries. If you’re ever looking for it again, it’s linked in the pinned thread ‘Official Servers - terms of conduct, guidelines and procedures’. (If there’d ever been an official announcement when it changed from zendesk to helpshift, people would have an easier time finding it…)

Yep been trying to log into #1021, been down since 06/04/2025 6:54 PM. Disgraceful that this still happens.
The server I was on was down for a few days, came back up with my game none the worse for wear and the server is running considerably better now. If you look servers have been periodically going for for a few days for a while.
Could be Gportal upgrading server blades{?} and us being the foster kids in the basement aren’t deserving of any explanations.
