Ping To High of Play on Servers

Anyone else’s ping to high to play on the severs that it was just in the double digits a day ago?

Hey friend, might want to take a look at this: [PC] Conan Exiles Enhanced Bug Report Guidelines

Can anyone at Funcom or at GPortal explain this?!

this is a joke at this point. Is this a G Potato problem or because crappy living settlements being on dragging the servers down.

Same issue. Ping was fine right after the update now it’s been 399+ for hours. Can’t connect to any server I have played on for literal years.

Was fine about 30 minutes ago. Ping is at 9999 for my server.

+1 to this. the official exiled lands server i’ve played on since the game released has always been 60 or below ping for me. and now it is 300+ and i cant get back on.
all other official servers are also 200+ for me now so i cant get on any official servers now.

…is it this “living cities” mech?

seems like its impossible to play on the servers due to high ping, i cannot access any official server since the limit ping is 200.

servers close to me are having 500.

I play on five servers and none of them have a ping below 900. Perhaps it’s time to ditch the Flintstone-era GPortal and use decent servers somewhere else? I’d love to jump in on my servers to play but insofar I haven’t been able to join a single one because of high pings…

The problem is most likely attributed to all the extra NPC’s on one map mainly. This was somewhat expected, although until today I wasn’t sure if the performance gains from UE5 were going to win out or not. Even on my private server running on the best hardware avilable I had to lower my player count from 70 to 60. Gportal probably needs to be at 20 on their hardware.

Can you explain what this means please?

20 players cap, their hardware can’t support 40 in the current state of the game. It’s still mostly single threaded, and with the map expansion there’s just too much to push through one single cpu thread. But as they say, that’s like, you know, just my opinion man. I’m sure there will be people arriving shortly to write a dissertation on all the reasons I’m wrong.

Having the same issue, the servers I’ve been on for years are at 400+ and 900+ for ping. I’ve tried the old server addresses and they show up as not found.

I didn’t expect perfection from Funcom, but I did expect access.

edit: if the server info at the start page is correct, none of the servers had more than 20 people on, the most had 16.

Update: can get on my testlive servers with no issues.

Yea, went to log into the server my siptah server was merged with, and it has 429 ping, so I can’t even log into it, hoping that what I did get to keep isn’t destroyed.

Even at 10-12 players on the servers they are running high pings since a few hours after the update went live. Just glad that my friend and I made it on early eanough that the ping wasn’t an issue for us at the time around 66 ms for me. But then after a few hours of play I had to log off for household tasks just to come back 15 mins later to find that the ping was around 500 and been like that pretty much for the last 6 hours now.

Yea, and their workaround for getting the IP for the server doesn’t work, because it’s not even being logged in the ini file… -_-

Yeah me and my friends have been trying to get into the server 1554 and when it drops below 15 we can get in but after that it goes over 400 ping

I managed to finally get onto the server I was merged with, had to make my way to where I wanted to start fresh in Exiled Lands, had to spawn in all of my followers, etc. but they’re all there, so far as I can see… now begins the long process of rebuilding.

If you get your server IP and use direct connect it ignores the ping of 200 requirement. That’s how Ive been getting on my server all day
