there are some hints … funcom is silent so maybe they are on * vacation* ( or what is possible in these times) , the next huge update / DLC is rollin in, or they enjoy the torture

No one “deserves” anything if it was technically free. The whole event was to be fun, and some of us are enjoying it for what is…fun.
