After some changes were made to the server settings in the game menu, it was noted that they were not saved. would it be a bug?
Typically the changes are saved, unless you are prompted with a message stating a server reset is required.
Best, most reliable way of changing settings is to do so through the G-Portal Menus.
Although, when I do fiddle with the settings through the in-game settings and Admin Panel, they generally are saved (at least from my experience).
This is a bug already reported (like there) 
For now ingame setting panel is bugged, you can however still modify the parameters in host server config panel or by modifying directly the settings file.
