Roll back the Age of Heroes

Well first of all, it is valid, that I have a different opinion on the matter, especially as I think with the development resources that FC allocates, nothing is going to be solved.
Secondly I am saying this, to show that there is not only a cry for rollback in the community.
Thirdly I have put out 4 crafters after the patch to see how they behave and have lost 2 as well. But if you are so stupid to put out your most valued thralls right after the patch and then cry about them vanishing, why should I have to pay with my valuable play time for your negligence?
And finally fourth: I have about 10 Grrrs in a box and since 2.4 it is almost irrelevant which crafter you use, so yes 2018 i would have been mightily pissed off for loosing Grrr, today it is more of a Meh.
And one final addition, while i am enjoying playing this game with others, i still value my playtime and enjoyment over theirs and you shouting for a roll back displays exactly the same mindset, just from the other side. So, yes, i care more for me having done the quests, than you having los a T4 crafter (which I also have)
So spare me the selfish crap, you are acting exactly the same

I actually have no dog in this race. The public server I was on went down for a day and came back up rolled back. I’ve left my artisans in their benches for now.

So I have no issue with a roll back because it wont effect me one way or the other.

“The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results”

Please redirect that anger where it belongs. Calling him stupid and negligent when he isn’t the cause and barely even an ounce of full communication about this including a link from the game launcher isn’t fair. Like many, unless they were informed in some way to prepare or hold off, how would anyone know?

sure, acting the same as the vast majority of people, while you worry about your petty grievances, very selfish of me. Stupid, by the way, is concerning yourself with a burning bush, while the entire forest is on fire. Stupid
heh, what and easy crutch to distract from a flawed argument. I think you are profoundly misguided.

well i only replied to him calling me selfish

I did not call you selfish, I said it was the most selfish reply I have seen.

A rollback would have been the right thing. But it’s either rollback to when the update happened and no one can play with their crafters which no one is going to be happy about. Or rollback the update entirely, but unless they know how to fix it, that’s not going to happen. They could have delayed the release to fix issues and didn’t so they’re almost certainly not going to undo a release to fix issues.

It’s different than the decay timers because they knew the cause and knew how to fix it. Rollback with Nemedian would have been more complicated because it would have been “rollback before update, let people update their foundations, re-release update” and you would have still had people upset that they were on vacation or otherwise couldn’t log in to fix their foundations, etc. So they didn’t.

again, what I read here in the forums, made me cautious when putting out worker thralls. Apperently all the posts here didn’t have that effect on you.
Don’t get me wrong, I am in the same boat as you, also having lost crafters that i put out.
Am I annoyed by that, yes. Do I want a roll back for that, no. Especially after Andys really poor statement regarding the disappearing of all barkeeps.
After thinking about it and also in the light that funcom took away most crafters uniqueness, I merely stated, that I would prefer a fix rather than a rollback.
After you chose to attack me personally for having a different opinion than you, of course I bite back.
I am not even saying that you shouldn’t ask for what you perceive as a solution to this problem, I just have a different opinion.
So in the light of what Kiki replied to me, lets direct our frustration to the company at fault and not at each other.
If they would have rolled back on friday all good but after almost 5 days, no thank you. I already complained about FCs release strategy, not leaving room for quick reactions like that.

Both of you are being selfish and that is understandable for both circumstances; there is good reasoning on both sides!

But everyone, @Boulderkin, please. This won’t accomplish anything by arguing and fighting with each other.

Our efforts must be in presenting to Funcom that this type of standard operating procedure and their actions are inexcusable. Point the fingers where they belong.

I know your argument and defense is a result of this current discussion. And B’s. It’s so upsetting and frustrating either way we view it.

seriously? gramatical nuance in an international forum? good one but I fail to see the difference. But hey whatever

i totally agree with what you are saying

It surprises me not you fail to see any diference. Look up the concept “Dialectic”, might give you some insight as to how to argue.

@Kikigirl You see this as “fighting”; I do not know if I agree. If you know one argument completly dismantles the other, why not defend it? I am not engaging in any insults, neither am I being rude nor combative; I am answering to what I believe to be an important point, to someone that seems to not care about everyone’s woes and is argueing about what I believe is a selfish, completetly banal point about quests one can repeat. I honestly, reading my posts, do not think I am “fighting”.

I think I’m going to make up my mind about Conan
You’re playing a Barbarian game, for barbarians by barbarians

So me

it’s decided, I’ll let you beat each other up, apparently it’s all good for funcom

in 10 days

in server playstation pve 8003 and 3003

you will have 2 big cities too big for some which will be degraded
you will then be able to go there and plunder lots of stuff that you already have 100,000 times

you will have a good reason to hit each other

tchus ans not good game

O_o

after reaching out to you in a civilized way, this is your answer? That must be the most self absorbed and ignorant answer to a post.
Please note that I didn’t call you self absorbed and ignorant.
Take this as a dialectic concept
I am also open to continue this discussion in german, lets see how you fare there.
And in regards to your note to Kiki, you completely ignored what I said in the post before, my guess is you would call that selective reading

Or roll it back and turn off lively villages in the server settings.

This is a different build then what is on the beta server. One of my gripes is the beta server doesn’t get the build that goes live; or the hot fixes.

That is why they should have dropped this on the beta server Thursday, not live.

The point really is you two pulling this thread off topic.

Just inform you, I shall henceforth simply ignore you. Reaching out to me in a civilized way calling me stupid isn’t exactly good dialectic. Have a nice life.

I believe I am argueing precisely about the very topic in question, but i guess at this point everything becomes subjective /shrug

i wouldnt. unless they revert the whole settlement system ,which is totally broken, as i warned weeks before the update, i told this was going to be painful for funcom, and the pain is just starting, it can get worse. trust me. just give it time.

a full rollback kiki, no, they should first of all, do big updates on tuesdays at the latest, never so close to weekeneds. ther eis already too much water under the bridge to go back with a rollback.

what they can do.

  1. revert all settlement system, (entirely) and bring back crafter thralls as inventory items (new animations are cool and can stay)
  2. add the roaming logic to fithers archers, performers and bearers.
  3. add a special bench to dress inventory crafters (As in the mod) ,
  4. for a limited time frame for a week, greatly increase the chances of getting t4s from their spawn points.
  5. have a real beta program, not the joke they have in testlive.
  6. better communication and involvmeent with the community.
  7. and of course, revamp the QA , if they have any, if not , then have a functional one that works directly with the people making changes. and rely heavily on their beta test program, having bugs is ok, having game breaking bugs is not acceptable, and this is happening like EVERY major update, it was never this bad
 never.
  8. never NEVER! release untested fixes.

this is the beest i can think of , that will help fix the problem. i look forward to hear what they say today!
