Stop Command Removal, Bad Idea

Please reinstate the Stop command. This is how you avoid begging stuck because thralls block the exit. If you are not going to reinstate the Stop command remove the collision detection from thralls so players can walk through them.

The new Wait command will give the same results for your example.

What was lost with the removal of the Stop command is setting the follower to passive. I used Stop to keep thralls from killing a crafter that had been agroed that I wanted to knock out. The Wait command can’t be used the same way as the thrall will keep attacking and likely kill the target NPC.

The advantage being that the thrall isn’t left defenseless when you tell it to stop (or wait in this case, right?), @thurgond , if I am understanding you properly. Hum… there should be a way to have both.

The stop command is important when hunting thralls. Please don’t remove it.

Like people said its nice for thrall hunting.

I also find it useful to stop thrall from attacking friendly players you bump into on pvp server.

I use stop constantly to prevent my follower from killing NPCs I want to knock out. The fact that they even had the idea to remove this command shows they are completely out of touch with the game.

Ok, @Wak4863 has a video that talks about this. It seems stop was just reworked. It’s worth watching.

How does the new command work when farming al-Merayah boss to level thralls?

I haven’t played yet without the stop command, but it’s the command i use the most on my thralls. I am pretty certain i won’t like not having it!

Looking into this further, the thrall will teleport to you under certain circumstances when you do not want that to happen, putting a thrall that was otherwise safely positioned in jeopardy. The more I experiment with this the less I like it vs the old stop command.
