Unable to gallop when riding a mount

Bug Description:

I am unable to gallop (run) when on a mount. My mount only ever travels at the normal speed.

Installed Mods:

Creative Mode

Steps to Reproduce:

I have unbound and rebound keyboard functions from shift= run or gallop to something else and it has not effect. I am always able to run when not on a mount. I have switched the key binding in the settings and have quit the game and logged back in. After doing this, I am still not able to gallop when riding a mount.
