I’ve looked but I can’t find, when is the scheduled downtime for the patch?

The new age comes out on the 17th yes. But when will the servers be down? Will they go down on the 16th? On the 17th? How many hours is the downtime?

Well, the update will be the 18th for Australia.
Ok. But my question is, do we have an actual time and date when we can expect the servers to go down and an aproximate length of the downtime? For official servers.

I think they release it that around 5 to 8 AM EST but the servers don’t get updates till the server restart (maybe the update is release on the server restart of EST servers) so as server restarts happen at that point they will restart to the new revision and force everyone one to update to play on them.
so there’s not likely to be more downtime than a normal day? Excellent, thank you for the information. 
The way Funcom has done this before, on official servers there should be no additional scheduled downtime. The downtime on private servers will depend on their mods.
And of course, there’s always the possibility of unscheduled downtime on official servers

You had to throw in the word “likely”. I expect some snafus on officials because of the change and the amount of build up in all of those servers. I can’t say that it will be one where it will mean pulling out a back up but that is the option of precedent when thralls are on the line and this is primarily a thrall update so…cross fingers and hope for a smooth transition.
