6 days without playing Conan Online

It’s been 6 days since I played with my friends, following the Bazaar Ban… And I’ve had very few answers regarding what happened, just a generic “We are looking into it” or “We will fix it.”

But nothing concrete. I’m worried because I’d like to be playing, but in the midst of all this, I learned a lesson: NEVER GIVE MY MONEY TO FUNCOM AGAIN.

We buy the content and get treated with neglect and a lack of information in return. Thanks!

I am in the same situation:

An attempted purchase in the Bazaar on the 14th led to a ban on my next login on the 15th due to an error on Funcom’s part. We were “unbanned” on Friday the 16th, but when we try to connect to any live server we get an Authentication Failure error and cannot connect.

Myself and others tried a few things to try and figure out if the problem was our accounts or the network, and consistently we found that it was the specific, previously banned accounts, that could not connect.

This was communicated to Funcom by myself on the 16th and I got a reply that it seemed to be a network error (implied: the fault laid with my network connection) but that it would be escalated to Development. Then Funcom went home for the weekend.

On Monday the 19th we received a message from Funcom that they had looked into it and, surprise, it was a fault on their end, and they thanked us for our understanding and patience.

It is now after business hours on the 20th and we still cannot connect, nor have we received any more communication.

This is absolutely unacceptable and very disheartening.

I would be interested in knowing how many people are affected by this, to start with, so if you are also still locked out and want to chime in, please do.

And since I know Funcom actually looks at these forums: For SHAME.

Well they do have to look into it in order to fix it, and I guess saying “we will fix it” is better than saying “yeah, we don’t care we ain’t fixin shyte”.
That being said, they really should have fixed it sooner than the 6 days you have been dealing with already. :face_with_symbols_on_mouth: That’s just unacceptable.

I cannot really fault you for that. I do hope that you get your account fixed soon though so you can at least enjoy this game with your friends.

Will post here too for transparancy:

Uncomfirmed if it’s everyone but it seems some of us are now able to connect!

Possibly either Funcom’s “unbanning” on Friday needed the Tuesday Steam maintenance to actually reactivate it, or Funcom did another fix after the fact that also needed the maintenance to kick in.

Either way, I am now able to connect to live servers!

My criticism regarding the communication stands but at least I have access to the game and the content.

Same. Wow, by Funcom standards, that was fixed at lightning speed. I guess money does talk after all. Still doesn’t make we want to play Russian roulette with Funcom again. Years after the first time this happened, I have zero confidence that they’ll prevent this from happening again.

I understand you. I only started last November and I feel like wanting to bail out now; and I just recommended this game to my office mates few weeks ago…
