Guess what? It’s that time of year again! Time for the warmth of family (yes, found family counts), good foods, and presents. And while The League of Monster Slayers may have some cooks amongst its members, we are far better at giving out gifts.
So, regardless if you are a new bee or old vet, join in the fun and take your chance at getting a wonderful holiday gift.
The way it works is one entry per account (PLEASE PUT THE NAME OF THE TOON GETTING THE GIFT IN YOUR REPLY), and on New Years Day, there will be a drawing for 3 names. The first name will get their first choice of a gift (from the list below), the second name drawn will get the second pick, and the third name will get the final pick.
It’s that easy!
So without dragging this on, let’s get to the list of available gifts this year…
Unless those are genuine spam posts, I feel some people are falling foul to the DisourseAI bot.
Not very nice and can ruin a lot of our community ran events here on the forum.
It may be that the AI bot has flagged them automatically cos all they posted was their name.
If it has fallen under say a 10 character limit.
So anyone who is wanting to enter any events that only require a name should perhaps type something else along with their name to avoid that in future.
@Umborls Do you know what is happening here? (I don’t know who else to tag or who or how to contact anyone in regards to this - so apologies if this is not your area)
Users seem to be getting silenced automatically by the DiscourseAI
We are unable to tell if they are genuine spam posts or if they are false flags due to them perhaps only posting their name? (Some of our contest entries here only require a name to be given and while this is not a new problem, seems to be new to this forum recently and will impact on the ability to run contests in this format)
Post I found for reference.
The new users likely need to complete the basic forum tutorial and/or reach the ‘Basic’ trust level. These will greatly reduce the chance that the forums will automatically see the new user as a bot, and it doesn’t take much time at all.
As per Discourse’s article on trust levels (Understanding Discourse Trust Levels), reading a number of posts for at least 10 minutes is generally all that’s necessary.
The Forum Tutorial is here and will give you a little extra badge and, of course, introduce you to some of the features of Discourse: Forum Tutorials (and their badges)
We have a new user in this thread with zero badges and only 1 min read time - no other posts or likes, they have posted over 10 chars and have not been auto flagged, it’s starting to look like it is not just the “new user” issue and most likely the ones auto flagged have only posted their names and are under 10 chars.
