I didnā€™t have as much time as I hoped to focus on any haikus, but hereā€™s a whimsical one I wrote for the heck of it a few days ago. I hadnā€™t entered it and this post is not an attempt at a late entry.

Iā€™m posting it here in the hopes it amuses people and because it was born of contemplating this contest.

First let me say thank you to all the writers of these wonderful submissions. It was very difficult to judge, there were so many quality pieces submitted and everyone did a really great job with the prompts. Even if you didnā€™t win, please still feel proud at what you accomplished, and I hope to see you in a future contest.

Without further ado, the winners are:

I really loved the unique aspect of it and with the added limitation of themes too made it all the more interesting.

I had my own personal fave from @WireRat and since it didnā€™t have a title I have added a small screencap and thought it to be a most perfect Haiku, itā€™s almost a motto at this point.
