If that is true…WTF? Don´t we have enough Problems already, do we really need much more on Top?

Addition: Fix the Bugs in the Core Game would be a nice Idea. Then you have more satisfied Players and more Consumers who buy Stuff at the Bazar etc.

Scrapping something with every new update - new content or not - is absolutely counterproductive. I know dozens of communities with servers that are now only afraid of “updates”, when will Funcom finally understand this?

While I had not been on Beta before this one, no one that I collaborated with that had pre-existing bases stated that the workers auto-placed.

I did come across a few decayed bases where the workers seemed to have been assigned to benches prior to the Beta update. Those thralls were in the benches as items. This is how the devs said they would act for the update.

Regardless just to be on the safe side store them anyway.

As for increased usage of AI, probably. The settlement system breaks within minutes if not hours for place workers. If that hasn’t been fixed according to the communication today.

And my Critic at one Point still exist: They should fix some Bugs, which are exist since Months now. The Server stability, the “falling through the Floor” Bug etc. pp. There are MANY, which are not important for Funcom it seems?

Fix the Core, after that try to implement new things.

Nobody spent some Brain to the Devs, or a bit Time in Game with populated Servers?

But okay, we can still falling through the Floors coz the Bartender System with the EL map is still buggy. Some continuity exist. NICE!

Another change no one wanted and that the game doesn’t need. Funcom have no idea what the game needs or what the players want from this game.

This is why I keep stating that I want a patch roll back to pre-sorcery when all of these silly changes don’t exist, when the game was still FUN to play.

You are not everyone.

A lot of people have wanted the game to feel more alive. There have been mods for years to make workers active, give thralls more animations, movement, etc.

This is something that was very wanted by a lot of us.

The implementation may not be the best, but as with all things, they will continue to work at it. Besides, catching new thralls is half the game. Now, you have the risk of losing thralls, which gives PvE players something to do again besides log in to refresh bases.

Since PvE players are largely the ones keeping the game alive via bazaar purchases, it makes sense that they’d do a major update that is most useful in that mode.

The devs really need to stop trying to put ‘lipstick on a pig’ and actually fix the game. Going to act as devils advocate but stable non buggy game would be better than having update after update making more and more of a mess of the game.
In my opinion, they should delay this update and fix the game instead but they won’t

No, they didn’t. 100% unnecessary changes that simply kill server performance and that’s a likely reason why the crafter thralls will now count toward thrall limits.

I had Beta bases prior to the latest release. The crafters were in the inventory of the bench they had been assigned to. No need to place them in chests. When Age of Heroes goes live you will need to place them in the world. If you are at the follower limit, you will have a chance to cull your combat thralls/pets/mounts before placing any crafters.

I do not think active settlements will cause much lag. In any case there will be less lag than taverns. Specially if they haven’t fixed the bug where crafters stay in place after a day or two.

It would be nice if Funcom would say if the follower limits on Official servers will change.

ehhhh, Gods? Pets? Sorcery? Just three areas they said were foundations they were reworking and tweakinh. Yet here we are years later and they havent been touched or improved.

Oh and the tavern. Was supposed to have “quests” added, but instead we get a new 2 character system with voice acting for quest.

nope it does not,. thrall AI crashes within minutes for me, and it will get a lot worse on official servers.

nope its not its the othwer way around, if you ahve a mediun to large size base it will look like a ghost town. sorry but i feel funcom is falsely claiming something that does not work as they advertize.

so there are no other modes? for you? how about pvp? haha. the griefing of crafters that is coming to pve?

i am a pve player , and no one in my server asked for this, we asked for a way to change clothes on thralls not having them as part of the world and causiong more lag

I have my live game set and ready.
Guess it’s time to finish up on the beta server and prep to body vault.

Actually when a forgotten about rival dropped with lively thralls there were a few threads here about it.
Now a while back they said something about being able to set thrall int he world before putting them on benches so you could dress them, that was a popular thing.
But I don’t recall more then a very few people requesting it for Conan.

I’m putting it on the stack with the personal light and fatalities. No one really asked for it but we got to deal with it. Because for some reason our opinions of what we want or don’t want in a the game we play doesn’t count.
