After server crash I lost all my inventory (armor, tools etc)

I was out and about, enetering the Brimstone lake for the first time (I was wearing the sandstorm mask). Then, suddenly, my server crashed. It was in the middle of the night - after an hour, with the server still down, I went to bed.

When I logged in the next day, my character was naked in the starter area (southern desert).
All my inventory was wiped: there was no armor, no tools, no weapons - nothing.

Please provide a step-by-step process of how the bug can be reproduced. The more details you provide us with the easier it will be for us to find and fix the bug:

  1. Put on sandstorm mask
  2. Enter Brimstone Lake
  3. Shut down server
