I am playing on the X-Box official server #2729 and for the Alchemest journey when it tells you to harvest aloe. I have Harvested about 2k Aloe and the quest will not update. Is there anything I can do to fix this?

Stupid question but do you have the journey step active I have found if not it doesn’t work

Welcome to the Forum.
If it’s your first step, you might really forgot to activate/switch the journey, so all the steps show up in the top right corner of the screen.
If it’s not about this, try to remove all aloe leaves from your inventory and then harvest few more with no leaves left in your inventory. Sometimes also helps when you just put the target materials to some other storage and then take it back into your inventory.
If this won’t help, activate another journey, then remove aloe from inventory, switch back to Alchemy journey and try again. Yeah, it’s still kinda wibbly wobbly with the journey steps.

Yep. i have tried all of those things. I wish there was a way to abandon that journey and restart it. Maybe that would help

This step only triggers if you harvest aloe plants that need to be picked twice. The ones growing along the desert river are harvested with only one picking. Find aloe plants elsewhere and, if you pick them twice, it should work.

Try harvesting by hand (without a tool), and if that doesn’t work, then try with an iron sickle, NOT a more advanced sickle. I have noticed that sometimes the journey steps related to harvesting seem to expect a particular way of gathering or a particularly primitive (stone or iron) tool. Sometimes any tool will work. Sometimes not. So my suggestion is to activate the Alchemist path again, and try these different ways of gathering.
Small world, I also play on #2729. I completed this step by grabbing some aloe growing in a planter box outside our base.
I found that for most of the journey steps you don’t actually have to do the activity, you just have to get the item it’s looking for into your inventory.
I’ve also found that if you are having a hard time completing journey steps then the game is bugged and you need to restart the game. Don’t just quit the game and reload if your playing on series X/S since it has quick resume. You need to quit then game then press the menu button and press quit again to force the game to completely reload. This fixes a lot of glitches on XBox.
