I want to bring it to the public for your thoughts on how funcom handles their actions, appeals, and community.
What are your thoughts?
Do you feel Funcom should show evidence, of their work?
Have you been banned without cause, or made up claims?
Do “copy/paste” replies make you feel like you’re important part of their community?
Lastly, how do you feel about the cheaters that roam free over their servers?
They used to give detailed explanations in 2021. In 2022 they switched to “view in the in-game suspension/ban message”. In 2023 and 2024 they tell you they can’t disclose the details.
Let’s be very clear here though, there is a big difference between a suspension (time-out) and a perma-ban. Only perma-bans can be appealed.

I do think that land claim suspensions are too harsh. I don’t mind if they delete your builds or even a time-out but a perma ban when you just built a structure (not talking about build spam) is really toxic. I have been banned because someone reported us after foundation spamming all around our base. The foundations weren’t ours and they didn’t even check. Just deleted our stuff and banned our own clan. They left the foundation spam and didn’t even ban the spammer. They ran rampant on the server using hacks before the server population tanked.
It seems that they reward abusers while punishing passionate players. I don’t trust funcom and i am always super worried i will get a ban for no reason because some player wants to abuse the report system. If my account was banned i would never buy another funcom product or mtx again (I would consider myself a big spender on the bazaar. I like to support the game). I don’t cheat and i play the game following their guidelines but they don’t seem to care about that. Its all so wishy washy and i don’t think it needs to be.
Suspensions is not an issue but perma bans for following their rules is really not on. I think in the UK there are consumer protection laws to protect consumers against that kind of behaviour. Maybe i should look into that…

Yes. I know not for a fact but I believe the report system to be automated and number based. Any large clan can easily get someone banned if they can’t beat them. Happens all the time.

No. They also locked my last complaint and then deleted it after i edited. Truth hurts.

Time wasters. Their moto is “If you can’t win, cheat.”
Trust me you don’t want to know.
At this point, i know they DGAF about their player base, and they will lose them, if they continue to treat them like this. The moment someone else makes a game like conan, im 100%gone, (im already waiting for V-rising Full release). They will not make money from me again. DUNE is black listed.
They only reason Funcom hasnt died, is because of private servers. when hackers flood their piggy bank. maybe they would care.
They already are and have. I have stopped playing for 2 reasons: the pisspoor recent update and the hacking. There has been a steady decline in Official PC PVP players for going on about 2 years because of hacking. 3 years now for the atrocity that is the ToC and Zendesk.
Vocal private server owners like to boast about being vigilant against hacking. They still have to actively monitor and ban players who jump on with 3rd party.
So it affects both Official and Private. Everyone on PC should be asking for better for the health of the game, sanity and hours spent.
It’s one of the core principles of what we consider the Western justice system that when you’re accused of wrong-doing, and especially if you’re being penalized for wrong-doing, you should be granted an opportunity to defend yourself. Importantly, you should know what you’re being punished for, and the evidence supporting those accusations.
From this perspective, Funcom’s operating procedures don’t feel fair. On the other hand, within the limited context of Funcom’s own products (such as the game), they’re legally entitled to do just about whatever they want.
It’s also worth mentioning that we, the other players, cannot judge whether you have been punished fairly or falsely, as we don’t have any evidence toward either direction. We only know what you choose to show us, because Funcom will not, and cannot, present their side of the story publicly.
Having worked both customer support and forum moderating, I understand that there is a place for standard replies. But when taking action against a customer, I always made a point of letting them know why action was taken.
You openly admit using an alt account to avoid an active suspension, which is stated in the TOS I believe. So you’re working against yourself at that point.
Having admin online is always the best way, like it was in the old school MMOs.
I don’t even have time to play all day long, but any player that observes something odd can simply tap one key and start recording and show the video to me later.
When I see obvious “anomalies” in player’s behaviour I ban them.
Anyway OP has been clearly involved in breaking the ToS, he also mentions being easily upset, so there must have been some rude or threatening behaviour on the chat. This is why permaban.
It’s better to remove 1 problematic player than having all the rest leave because of him - another wisdom from private server owners.
Ya I don’t believe it is that simple. Having been suspended myself and paid a keen interest to this subject the system is very flawed.
I won’t bore you with the details as to why I say this, search the forums if you wish.

Thia is exactly my situation. Carbon copy responses by either AI or someone who gets paid to copy paste generic responses to everyone.
My clan gets reported by toxic players we defeat in pvp because they cant beat us legit and funcom rewards them. Even when we stuck to the guidelines we still took a wipe/ ban.
A player we caught with an undermesh city with 100 vaults and skybases over no build zones got his perma ban appealed recently. Funcom really is rewarding the worst offenders and over punishing players who just have big builds but not directly cheating.
I just got silenced by Andy for causing " dissent" for even bringing this up last week. Not sure he knows how to use dissent in the proper context but yea, FC dgaf, they just want us to buy battle pass then move on to Dune.
After this nightmare, forget dune.

Interesting. People think they are clever when they do this. But its very clear when this is being done to those running servers.
Likely the reason the OP isn’t getting an appeal.
Trust me I won’t show up at their office because it wouldn’t reach that level.
