Bat tower compromised? (SPOILER INSIDE)

Well I don’t know exactly what should happen but…
reached bat tower and inserted the sceptre (basilisk) in it, added demon blood and the reaction was weird:
a portal opened in the circle but it is miss-located: the portal itself is not centered in the stone circle so you can see the squared gif limits, even the beams that flows in/from it does not touch the pinnacle of the side towers.
So… should something come out from the portal?
Should I cross it and go somewhere?
In both cases nothing happens, am I missing something or the “miss-location” is bugging the thing?

Steps on how to reproduce issue:
1.put sceptre in altar
2.add demon blood in mix
3.?

It is off center, but what you do there has nothing to do with the portal. That’s all I will say.

So it is “working” even if it’s miss-placed?
Ok, it was just to know if I could go on or was like the Razma’s home entrance that was (is?) bugged and won’t let you in unless some glitching.
