Battleye "Blocked loading of file" error

Type of issue: Crash(game won’t start because of battleye)
Server type: Any
Region: LATAM

Whenever I try to open the game, BattlEye gives me the same error message and then closes itself, but doesn’t run the game.

15:20:29: Starting BattlEye Service…

15:20:34: Launching game…
15:20:36: Note: File blocks can be ignored if they don’t cause problems with the game.
15:20:36: [INFO] Blocked loading of file: “C:\Windows\System32\dwmapi.dll”.

Please provide a step-by-step process of how the bug can be reproduced. The more details you provide us with the easier it will be for us to find and fix the bug:

  1. Try to run the game throught Steam;
  2. Get error message;
  3. The game doesn’t start.
  4. Tea?

It sounds like BattlEye has detected an unrecognized version of dwmapi.dll.

This could be caused by data corruption, a virus/malware infection, or someone (maybe another user of your PC) having used some form of cheat program recently or in the past.

I would recommend you try following the steps in the guide I’ll link below. You can skip the first step, but I’d suggest particular emphasis on Step #2 (Run a virus/malware scan) and Step #3 (Run the sfc /scannow System File Checker). If you’re lucky, one of those steps should resolve your problem, but if you get as far as #5 this might be more serious.
