This set does look very nice. I purchased it, however, it would’ve been much better with doorframes, windows, etc.
Can only assume there will be a few variations of these fortified walls for other build sets in the upcoming chapters.

Just my personal opinion but, i think this set is fuggly as hell lol. Terrible color and overall design is a hard pass for me. However, i do thank the people that have done funcoms job and actually posted useful and detailed infirmation about this set. Lately the building sets all seem to be minimum effort for maximum profit. I do wonder if we’ll ever see another complete set that funtions as it should. Sigh
Looks great! The premise of this pack is to create protection, not an entire base. It was certainly made with the intention of complementing all types of constructions. Notice that it has a neutral tone, so it doesn’t clash with any other structures. I found it very interesting, especially considering the need to defend our base during wars. Before, you would build the walls surrounding the base using the same interior walls. Now, Funcom let us use a proper material to encircle and protect the base. I really liked it! Am I going to buy it? Of course not! Not because I don’t want to, but because the price exceeds (a lot) my budget.
Cool… I usually like to flip the frontier pieces backwards, however it looks like the Aesir pieces are duller, so I’m not sure how well they’ll mesh with that.
Aw, bless. You don’t know how.
It’s literally armour for our base “nice” Gonna get it after work.
With the ability missing to place the curved fortification wall on foundations, the set is unusable unless you build on a completely flat surface. Who thought that was a good idea???
Not enough the stupidity of the foundation alignment has to be in one direction to let you put the fortified wall on this.
If the terrain is not flat and you place the curved fortified wall it doesn’t align with the normal fortified walls.
Can’t believe i threw coins at FC for this buggy mess
Don’t buy it now, I am furious that i did
-see my reply above
You don’t know what the video is about.
Clearly you fail to see that the curved ceiling pieces ignore stability. This is not intended.
You can’t just build infinite pathways with normal ceiling pieces like in the video unless you are abusing Admin commands or NetLimiter (aka cheating). Or Mods.
Go on an official server and try place 100 ceiling pieces in a row without anything below. You can’t.
I can’t beleive how dumb some players are… No wonder the bazaar trash is so buggy and pay2win when noone sees simple building rule infringements like shown in the video.
Great game…
@Tor-Kotaro , this one wishes to express the utmost gratitude and respect for your alacritous showcase.
Informative, timely, a much appreciated contribution to the community.
Thank you.
Wtf? Is this for real? I was about to buy it.
Yeah, I’m guessing this is because the straight fortified walls were placed on foundations to match the height of the gate, and the curved fortified wall wasn’t, because there’s no curved foundation and placing the curved wall on a square foundation would look like shіt.
(Or maybe you can’t even place it on a square foundation? Dunno, I don’t have the set myself, and I’m not likely to buy it after seeing all this.)
I’m also guessing that if the straight walls weren’t placed on foundations, then the curved wall would align with them, but then they wouldn’t align with the gate.
Honestly, I’m not even surprised anymore. The Bazaar has been plagued by defects right from the start, and they keep releasing shoddier and shoddier stuff.
On a slightly related topic, there’s a video critique of the Age of War by @Wak4863 that’s been circulating on the forums. I agree with pretty much everything he said, but there’s something that made me laugh that doesn’t have anything to do with what he was saying, but rather with what he was doing
If you pay attention at what he’s building, you’ll notice that during the first 3 minutes (approximately), he’s using mostly the Lost Dungeon set. Then he switches to the Turanian expansion set, and for the next 5 minutes he’s struggling with the curved walls and ceilings, trying to coax the freaking pieces into aligning the right way.
I have that set and the video was giving me PTSD flashbacks. Of all the sets I’ve used, the Turanian expansion set is hands-down the most frustrating one and it’s the poster child of Funcom’s complete neglect for their customers. Between that, and the “cubist surprise” of the Lost Dungeon, I’ve learned not to buy stuff from the Bazaar without waiting for other players to waste spend their money first
My biggest question is. Can folk use double jump on the sloped wall and get over fences?
IDL (Imp Defamation League) on line one…
More this which still got me to purchase because that is more bug than a design thing…ie that will get fixed and I’m off to the races will all sorts of funky stuff
I raise you three [insertbeverageofchoice]s on that. 100% (always let that first lemming make the jump first)
This one finds your indefatigable optimism admirable.
Would you care to enter a friendly wager as to how long that will be?
That is a good question since they just released a hot fix. I would say 2 to 3 weeks
