I’ve been having some trouble with harassment on private, modded servers and I’d like to block people using the in game feature.
As I understand it, I should no longer see their avatar or chats in the game. Does it remove them from the server list, as well?
Further, what happens when a server is deeply modded with chat mods and appearance changes? Does this affect the in game block in any way? Anyone have any experience with this?

Press L to access the player list. (Or, press Esc, Server, Player List.)
On the player list, you can click the microphone icon on the right side of the troubling player’s name to silence or “squelch” their in-game microphone. You can also click on the chat looking icon to mute/block seeing any of their text chat.
The problem with these features is that they are defeated if you or if the character in question log off, and then log back on. They only squelch troubling players for the immediate duration of their (or your) time online.
