BUG AOH CH1 - Item sort modes while moving items will take item before it

Basic Info:

Platform: Steam
Issue Type: Gameplay
Game Mode: Official
Server Type: PvP
Map: Exiled Lands
Server Name: Any
Mods: None

Bug Description:

While in sort mode: Heaviest First, Type or Name, clicking and dragging, using spacebar or shift + right clicking items out of inventory will move the item before it instead.

Bug Reproduction:

  1. Have inventory in sort mode: Heaviest First, Type or Name
  2. Click and drag, use spacebar or shift + right click to move items out of inventory
  3. Item selected will stay in inventory and instead move the item before it
  4. When attempting to move the item, the item before it does not highlight, it keeps the original item chosen highlighted

Extremely pre-existing issue.

It seems like nothing from the last Age of War chapter inventory issue was fixed, although players had experienced massive problems because of it. New content was added to the game, but this was not fixed at all.

The only thing that works is for a player to wiggle with the settings and find some override way for this to have the least impact on his work experience. It’s just pity that new players may not have the patience.

Everytime my inventory starts to act off because of broken sorting settings, I switch off to “No Sorting” option, which has some delay to take any effect, but then is better than to not be able to drop, move or exchange any item without dropping, losing or exchanging any other random item from inventory.

To me this particular bug is more gamebreaking and annoying than 99% of others, and I don’t get how and why this issue didn’t get the attentiont before releasing new update.

This is a terrible issue in 1732. That server is so bad with bugs. All the generic thralls names are in German for sone crazy reason!?!?

They don’t care about going back and fixing past age bugs or badly received features. They clearly don’t have time for that. Well soon this game will have no players anyway.

At this point it was a failed experiment. This was a momentous change to a well received and comfortable system. Badly managed, bug-ridden and poorly thought out.

It would absolutely be worth it to revert to the old UI but I don’t think that is something they’d ever consider.

But the idea is good. It’s just unfinished thought and in this state of things it does more bad than good.

I am used to go with whatever comes next, so I won’t be for changing it back to how it was before. I just think these mechanisms deserves more attention. And I believe every dedicated player feels more ashamed of this bug than any person who is responsible for it for real.

How could anyone care about new content when the game feels so clumsy because of this unfinished stuff? I won’t even invite any noob gamer friend to play Conan, because this stuff will for sure discourage anyone new to actually continue playing this game.
