[BUG] Pit of Yog do instant kill

[I know this since long ago while I try to jump in pit of yog , It instant killed me, but it’s not a big deal because it killed a player like me so I didn’t make a report

Today it just kill my beloved thrall while she is following me.


I just have her following me while I come to put a meat to cook in the pit and then go back to farm , and she is dead . I guess She teleported in to the pit and it kill her , Now I guess It must be fix now . Who know if we place thralls near the pit of yog and they will get killed.

Please fix it to no damage or just not instant kill.

And 1 More ask , How do I know how long my thralls/pets will last since all of them have 0 food ( on starving stat ) and it said time left is 0 and they didn’t take damage . ?

In theory, 2 weeks from the last time you came in their range.

How can i see the time ? , it dose not show me the time like building

you cannot currently sadly.
Fucom is working on a change in that regard.

the patch notes say “14 days from last log in”. It doesn’t say anything about needing to be in range of the thralls or pets … as per quote from patch notes …same in PC and PS4 notes:

How About my pit of yog problem do you have any advice ? Should i build a box building to close them ? , thanks all for answer

Well I’ve had 6 thralls on the foundations surrounding my Pit of Yog for about 5 months and none of them have moved into it and died.
I think you were very unfortunate that the thrall teleported into it. If you do not take a pet or thrall past it or close to it then it shouldn’t happen again.
I had a thrall teleport to it’s death on spikes near my base one time months ago … after that I try to remember either move slowly in my base so they walk behind me or if they are teleporting wildly instead of walking then to take them off follow and lift them to where i need them to be on my base…
Funcom really does need to work on their code to ensure that the game does a check that the thrall doesn’t teleport into objects like the Yog pit or spikes or into thin air and falls to their deaths (eg teleporting to player who’s travelled to the Sinkhole obelisk.

I have had same thing happen twice I turn around facing away from pit of yog and bam my volcano thrall dies the first time I couldn’t find corpse thought it may have been fall damage (something from story up shouldn’t happen) and second time I saw it fall from the pit. And yes I do have placed thralls around it also.

That’s the reason, i unfollow still thralls and pets before or just after entering my base.

Thralls and pets are cool, but while them following you have to be very careful what you do, and how you move.
For my fun, on one of my current singleplayer game, i use actually a mod allowing me to use up to 5 thralls and pets following me. Believe me, it’s fun, and worth the trial, but you need care for the full party, and this isn’t still a small job. :sweat_smile:

I use thralls or some pets only for some special runs. While there can be useful, they don’t think like a player, and are still make you slow down your run.

my problem is I have maproom next to my tower build and pass thru there all the timewiht thrall in tow I just have to remember not to turn around just go straight to maproom.
