Cannot stand up from 'comfortable chair'

Bug Description:

I sat down in my comfortable chair and noticed my character sitting at the wrong angle with the handrest coming out between her legs. It looked awkward so i tried to stand up but my character wouldnt move. i tried the laying down emoji, which worked and i laid down - however i could not stand up and when i held X and ‘stopped emoting’ my character went back to sitting in the same misangled awkward position. thats how my character is right now, im not sure how to get out of the chair or work this bug out.

I wonder if this is related to the “stickiness” that was introduced in 2.9 and subsequent “updates”?

In the current revision it’s possible and common to get your character stuck on rocks, trees, occasionally just the ground, your horse, map asset (structures), and your followers. I’ve experienced all of those (except the ground one) multiple times in the past month+. Almost always a SPACE jump is needed to become unstuck. In the one case where I was stuck on the ground (flat surface inside a Siptah vault) it required a client restart followed by many more jump and roll actions. In that one case the foot remained unmovable while the rest of the character model performed the actions given it - causing some very interesting and odd character model distortions.

In dire circumstances I suppose the only way to guarantee salvation is to set down a bedroll and remove your bracelet.

I hope they fix this soon - it can be deadly for a weak character to become stuck during battle.

Yes, i also noticed that alot of times when i climb a wall i will be stuck running in the direction i was facing when i climbed the wall, regardless of what direction i am turning the camera it. It was annoying at first but i found i could reset the glitch by re climbing the wall.

Also, thanks for your suggestion about removing the bracelet. I think that is the ultimate work-around for some of these bugs.

Here’s a fun one along the same lines but has been in the game since 2.5 (I think).

If you jump and slide down from a structure that is above water where the slide doesn’t stop you and you slide off the structure and into the water (not deep enough to initiate the swim animation) - your character will remain in the sliding position hands raised, with two smoke trails coming off the hands. You can then run around as long as you like with your hands up leaving smoke trails wherever you go - funny as heck!

It ends only when your character performs another scripted move - like climbing or equipping a weapon, etc. This one I hope they never fix. It’s rare enough that it doesn’t occur often and it’s funny as hell when it happens!

I confirm, a bug that I discovered since the recent update on the official server on Ps4 too, impossible to interact with the character and forced to disconnect.
In solo mode I have not yet experienced this strange phenomenon :thinking:

How close is the chair to the table and is the chair on a carpet? I have seen issues with chairs being on carpets that if they are slightly too close to a table you cannot stand up from them. Yet if you set them at the exact same spot without a carpet you can stand up just fine. As you did not mention either of these factors, or provide a picture, this could be the issue but I cannot say without knowing the situation better.
