Cant build while in god mode / fly mode

In singelplayer and in fly/god mode I cant place building materials. this is very annoying when you go to singel player and want to try out diffrent building techniques.

Please provide a step-by-step process of how the bug can be reproduced. The more details you provide us with the easier it will be for us to find and fix the bug:

Are you in ghost mode too? Are you too far from where you want to place? I have no issues flying in god mod and building as long as I am not in ghost mode and I mind the distance.
