Can't join a coop server

Bug Description:

I start a Coop game, use custom settings and enter. I finish creating my character then I invite a player.

Using both invite options just prompts the other player to join then remains stuck on a Infinite loading Attempting to join.

This test was conducted both on the same router and with a friend from another country.

We all have the base game with all the DLC enabled.

Installed Mods:

None

Please provide a step-by-step process of how the bug can be reproduced. Please be as detailed as possible; the more details, the easier it will be for us to find and fix the bug:

  1. Start A co-op session
  2. invite friend
  3. Friend accepts invite
  4. Infinite Attempting to join. Eventually will get a failed to connect message
