Collision with your Thralls


Bug Reproduction:

Move closer to a corner with your party you will see that it will block any way out you will have to remove the bracelet in order to break free

You can invent a command from the Thralls go away! Move away! Move away because your armpits stink!
As of January, we’ve been begging Funcom for 7 years to add this feature…

Can’t you just unequip weapons and kick them?

I just checked this, hoping for a miracle cure to a problem that has plagued me since I started playing, but kicking had no effect at all on my thralls. They did not budge one pixel.

I was hoping that the “Flee” command would actually cause thralls to run away so I could be freed from being trapped by them in this way, but, alas, it does not.

That’s really odd. Are they immune to knockdown/knockback somehow? In the new system, kicking them should send them flying away from you

Not that I’m aware. This is the first I’ve heard of follower thralls being able to be kicked away from a character. Hmmm.

Are you playing on a PVP server or a PVE one when you kick thralls around?

I play on PVP, so that might have something to do with it

There are mods that give you a “go away” command. Excellent ones.

But Funcom apparently forgot to copy that idea when they reworked follower commands - and instead revamped the inventory for no apparent reason.

I’m really not sure why “Flee” doesn’t accomplish this.

Yes, I checked, and this is a feature of PVP.

I have not tested on a PVP server so the ticket information is incorrect the type of servers affected are PVE and PVE-C-.

once upon a functioning game, the player could equip a katana and use the dash attack/power slash to cut/dash through followers and escape.

great for blowing past followers stopping in doors or horses and rhinos or whatever becoming immovable objects utterly halting the player in such engaging and fun traps such as an empty tent or even in their own base (ALWAYS build in 2 exits to a structure).

Since the latest baroque updates, I’ve let my private server lapse and uninstalled conan so i’m not sure if that is still a thing.

Yeah, sad that this ‘simple’ request cannot be accomplished, but all kinds of undesired ‘fixes’ get added all the time making the game worse.

Then you have my apologies for giving false information. I don’t suppose the dagger backflip can get you out, can it?

To my understanding this has been an issue for a while. Maybe they will someday come up with some hack to get around the problem. The AI is incredibly basic. Sometimes I wonder if pathing amounts to:

newposition = normalize(target - currentPosition|) *
movementSpeed * deltaTime

Anyway, have you tried using move to. That works if you can get the move to option selected. You can also try to crouch or climb up the wall. Reccomend trying wall climbing before crouch as you can get stuck in crouch…lol

I have a problem with the Savage Wilds mod. When I take my followers to Murun, some of them take damage even though I’ve set them to passive. I’m playing in civilised mode. There is no combat zone in Murun, which is why I can’t reproduce this problem.

In addition, my followers follow me very closely and block my path in the buildings, even though I have increased their following radius.

I wonder if the former problem is solely a programming error in the Savager Wilds mod?

It would be nice if the Funcom programmers could take care of the problem with the following radius of the followers.
