Yep. I’ve seen nothing but this since the latest patch. Windows 8.1, 16GB memory.

A Friend/player on my server, located in Germany has the same issue:
“Connection Lost. You Must Be Connected to the Internet to play Online”
This happens before they can even connect to any servers…official or private.
I should have also stated that this started post last patch.

I have the same problem, everytime I try to loggin since last patch I get that message as if I had no internet.

I have windows 8.1 too.Ive sent Funcom many messages stating this but all remains the same.

Yes same here, I’m on Win 8. I have verified at least 4 times plus reinstalled the game, and still after 1 whole day I still get the “Lost connection” pop up every single time I click “play online” :angry:

Same here. I can’t direct connect to my private server, and going to “PLay Online” takes about 3 seconds before “Lost connection. You must be online to play” pops up.
Info : Windows 7 64-bit
No online mode of ANY kind work.s

I have the same problem. The update originally left me with the memory error, and after the hotfix for that went in, I was left with this.

Selecting Play Online results in Lost Connection after about 1 second.
Changing Steam > View > Settings > In-Game > Max Pings-minute up and down, has no effect.
With or without BattlEye, same results.
With or without Windows Firewall, same results.
With or without Windows Defender (MS Security Center), same results.
CE ran perfectly with all of the above, prior to the update.
All of my other games continue to run perfectly as well.

For anyone on PC with the “Lost Connection” problem, I followed the advice of Shadowlite here: For the people that it tells you you don't have internet

I have managed to get back into the game. Hope it works for those with this problem.

I read through that post, went to:

Control Panels > Internet Options > Advanced > Security tab

…and enabled TLS 1.2. Apparently that is what was needed to get my client to perform the internet connectivity transaction and grab the server list, and eliminated the Lost Connection error. I guess Windows 7 so old that it doesn’t use TLS 1.2 by default (TLS 1.0 and 1.2, and SSL 1.0 and 2.0, are long since deprecated). I would never have thought to look at those settings.

Of course, the client is still overloaded by trying to mass ping all the servers in that list at once, which remains a problem needing to be fixed… but I was able to log into CE finally.
