Bug Description:

Crafter Thralls still dying for no reason after hotfix was applied. Actually at least for me it‘s worse than before. Already lost 2 thralls only this evening after the hotfix was applied and living settlement was switched on again.

Just wait for the thralls to die

i think playstation is not patch yet. but they turn on living settlement so bad

Well, at least there was a client update installed yesterday afternoon. Don‘t know about the servers though, but I would expect the backend to be the same for all client platforms and patched before living settlement was switched on again…

Same for me on PlayStation. So sad. It hit my lvl 17, full equiped, 3200 HP Chieftain Valda. She “just” died. No real threats around.

Screenshot made.

Please, turn it off and take your time for a working fix… :disappointed:

We lost 5 thralls last night… they just ‘died’. Most were good named ones.
The living settlement is a shambles and I’d rather it were switched off permanently. The only thing I like about it is that thralls automatically cover several workstations at once, so you don’t need extra workers. Everything else is just not working and is completely spoiling the experience. Hate it!

When living settlement was released all my crafter thralls either disappeared or died. I disabled living settlement after that. Too glitchy to put in a lot of time and work just to have things go poof

Again, after the repair patch an other t4 dies, items do not decay, so he was not killed and ofcourse the hunt for a new shieldwright starts, please FC turn this lively nonsense off again on officials.

I’m 100% on board with that… there is no more incompetent company than FUNCOM…
it’s completely illogical to start up this rubbish “living settlements” again, basically to create the same drama again! You’d think they were trying to scare away all the players. After the update, 4 named people died again, for no reason. MAN, turn that crap off if you’re not capable of programming a game! Take it back to the past and let the players play their game in peace. If you’ve found capable staff and interest, then you can try again… but please test it properly first, because you won’t shine with that either.
I won’t play the game anymore, I’ll give the things away to those who want to continue playing.
I hope everyone has fun, it was a good time and actually, everything used to be better
OK, but seriously, you can let go of the game and not have to worry about it any more. There’s too much good stuff on the market for that. Definitely.
And if it’s Super Mario, everything is better than CE at the moment.

Greetings Exiles,

Can you, please, confirm which types of crafters (professions) thralls have you lose so we can share it the development team?

Hi ZahMaiatt,

thanks for reaching out. I dare to say the effect is not limited to any specific profession since as from what I can see from the fellow exiles’ logs and from my personal experience it happens to blacksmiths, armorers, carpenters, cooks, tanners, smelters, priests, etc…

Oh for the love of Set, would you all please start using the beta servers right.
Maybe if you all did all us players wouldn’t have to deal with this broken ass crap that could have been fixed BEFORE it went live simply by keeping the beta servers a build AHEAD of live; not 2 behind.

Hand that to your development team.

I’ve lost a cook and a task master. You see the cook at 0,0,0 in the screen cap above. Still have not found the task master; or half a dozen archers, but I think they are burred in foundations. So far I have found 3 missing thralls by removing foundations. I have a feeling those missing archers are burred in my ramparts.

And another one just died yesterday…

@ZahMaiatt this was a Priest…

@AndyB - when do you plan to do something or at least communicate about it? This whole thing was a mess since its release. The only right thing to do was to disable it while you would work on a fix and it would have still been been the only right option to switch it off again when it was clear only hours after the hotfix was rolled out that it hasn‘t fixed the issue of thralls dying for no reason…

Forgot to mention the reason i went thrall hunting yesterday is my thrall count went from 54 to max with out me placing more thralls. I have no idea where the other 11 came form, but it seems most have been burred in foundations for a while. Not at all sure why the game hadn’t been counting them.

So I guess today when I get on I’ll be demolishing my ramparts looking for 5 lost archers.

Thank you for sharing this information!

We’ve forward this to the development team so they can investigate.

Great, thanks @ZahMaiatt
And while you’re on it, why don‘t you suggest to them that they do their investigation on their dev, test and staging systems and switch it off on prod to allow for the community to enjoy the game again and not to suffer from losing thralls they worked hard for

And the next one… This was a Taskmaster @ZahMaiatt

This really, really sucks. I absolutely do not understand why you keep ignoring the community and let us suffer from this bug instead of switching it off and take your time to work on a fix. This ignorance and silence is so disrespectful, I‘m wondering how you guys would feel if you would be treated that way when you reach out for support somewhere…
