Crafting items using resources from a nearby chest no longer works. The chest is placed right next to the workbench, so distance isn’t the issue. This is an official PvE server.
And if you do fix it, please make the allowed distance between the chest and the crafting station at least 3 blocks—or better yet, 5!
Is this happening with all chests or just some?
(I presume you have checked that the box does not have the option disabled? - the cog item in the top right of the inventory screen when the box is open.)
As I understand it, there seems to be a limit on numbers of inventories that can be drawn from (possibly a performance limit rather than necessarily something intended), so it may be that there are too many other inventories within range (other chests, benches, followers etc).
Of course, I made sure the access option for the chest was enabled. I tested it with two chests: one standard and the other like the one in the screenshot. There are other chests nearby containing finished items, but only this specific chest is designated for crafting. And back when this NEW feature was first announced, everything worked perfectly.
im having a lot of random behavior, some chests contents are avaliable others not, only chests very close to the benchs are working for me atm. I would like if they had a big bubble like the treasure chest, would be very useful having not to worry with chest scatered everywhere, ony a few vaults on the center of the base would supply everyting, including floors above and under it, should be a dream.
