CraftingCostMultiplier Still Broken

CraftingCostMultiplier setting STILL broken after being brought up in this forum and told it would receive attention: pc-bug-report-server-settings-crafting-cost-multiplier/6789

This setting is needed badly for small private servers as the game crafting material requirements are balanced for larger groups. Double harvest rates trivialize survival aspects of the game and only makes crafting buildings barely tolerable as you spend most of your time slogging mats back and forth due to the incredibly high build costs but default encumbrance levels (which could be changed through settings…except those settings are also broken…grrrr). Mods to work around this exist…and are broken due to recent updates. Fixing this bug would be a much better solution.

Please prioritize and fix this long-standing bug.


Please provide a step-by-step process of how the bug can be reproduced. The more details you provide us with the easier it will be for us to find and fix the bug:

  1. Check the crafting cost of any recipe with default settings.
  2. Change CraftingCostMultiplier to .5 from the 1.0 default.
  3. Restart server.
  4. Notice the crafting cost of the recipe in step 1 remains unchanged.
