Cursor movement in bazaar wonky and broken - can’t see all items in a bundle

Bazaar cursor movement broken

Bug Reproduction:

Select an item for sale in bazaar then once it appears try to move around to select each item in the bundle

Using the d-pad or the left or right sticks doesn’t work right. You can’t go to each item for sale in the bundle with the gold-framed cursor. Maybe you can see 4 of 5. Or 7 of 10 but usually not all of them. Going left or right or up or down on d-pad might get you to some of the items but rarely all of them. No matter what combination I try I can’t always get to see all of them.

In GUI speak for form development, it’s like tab order order of the individual items is wrong or missing.

This has been like this for ages. I just figured someone else would report it. But it’s still not working.

Even more of an issue now that there’s a bundle for sale with 3 rows of items. If I somehow get to third row which is mostly off-screen so the gold-frame cursor is on it, it doesn’t scroll down. So you can’t even see what the other items are.

Here in the screenshot you can see the frame cursor is in the third row. But you can’t see the third row.

So 2 issues:

  1. Cursor movement using d-pad or L stick or R stick doesn’t go to each item
  2. The list doesn’t scroll when you do fluke out to the third row

I ended up buying a new ps controller, and there are a few issues that stayed.

The cursor movement doesn’t work well, today. Usually, it is 6D of control. It dropped down to 4D of control, like Rubic’s cube. It could be pinpointed. It can be trafficked. It is not just in the Bazaar.

I hear ya that lag is not the top issue there. It sometimes crashes? Or is it consistent? :pray:

Yeah for me it’s not the controller. It’s only in the bazaar. They just seem to have “tab order” in form development language wrong. Or some of the items seem to be completely disconnected.

Plus not scrolling down when selecting item but that’s only something you see with the giant bundles when more than 2 rows

And yes it’s consistent. Every item for sale in the bazaar has the behaviour unless they have the “tab order” correct

Programmers do get lazy about tab order. The placeholders are there, so it is just a matter of editing labels.

It ‘not scrolling down’ is what I ran into today. It has been fine.

The L stick actions were more likely intermediate, as I was moving L stick to R stick. R stick was fine within all directions except up-down movement.

I’ll test it again with a different approach…

Try it with the d-pad too

I’ve tried everything and nothing works right there. I’ll try the d-pad then try the sticks to see if I can’t get it to move around to every item.

Sometimes you can find a combination that works like move right from the second item in the first row will jump to the bottom row rather than the third item in the first row or whatever. That’s just an example of a possible situation - not something that reliably works.

No rhyme or reason as to how the movement works in the bazaar :slight_smile:

The d-pad was fine. I didn’t notice any regression there. I have seen how it jumps around. :thinking:

I did get hit with slow fatalities.
