Greetings @official_kp ,

We’re having some issues with the bug report template.

Can you, please, copy the information in it and share it here?

To speed up the process of solving your problem you need to try to replicate with out using mods.
This is the first thing Funcom will request from you when they reply.
You may need to contact the mod creator to get it fixed.

You need to state categorically that the bug is with or without mods. Funcom will accept/respond to the report if the bug is from their vanilla game. They won’t if it is caused by a mod. Why should they, they didn’t cause the problem.
My advice is simply:
Test with no mods. If the bug persists then fill out a new report giving all info requested. ie SP or MP server . Server name etc.
If the bug is from a mod then Funcom can’t help you, you need to contact the mod creator.

The bug has nothing to do with the mod. It can be replicated in vanilla by dying it using the vanilla dye system.

Just in case the above wasn’t clear, it’s not about using the dye bench vs. Tot, it’s that mods can interfere with the game causing what appears to be bugs.

In order to ensure that it is a bug due to programming of the game and not programming of the mod(s), you need to test it in an environment completely devoid of the mod(s) including removing the mod(s) from your system, not simply disabling or avoiding the features.

If that is what you’ve done then let us know

I’ve updated the original post!

Mods that aren’t even related to dying can mess things up. For example, a while ago I couldn’t complete the Black Smith Journey Step ‘obtain fuel’. I tried harvesting coal, wood, bark, foliage, no joy.
It wasn’t until later when I started making Oil the step suddenly completed. Fortunately the Black Smith ‘Journey’ was still open.
Because I was on my own server I was able to replicate the problem in a new game. The problem was in an ‘Armour’ mod I had installed.

This is why every one says ‘remove all mods and try again’.
OK so it’s not a mod this time, but if you hadn’t of tried without mods you would never have known.

Since I’m updating the Bugs & Issues list, I just need to make sure I understand the issue.

  • Is it that of the 4 chains you dye it yellow and one turns black?
  • Of the 3 yellow chains, one of them is darker?

If you look at them in an undyed state, you will see that the colours also do not match - the chain nearest the toes is slightly darker in the original. This is just the dye system working in its usual unsatisfactory way - the chain starts out darker, so it remains darker when dye is added. All three chains are on a single dye channel, so one dye added to the far left box dyes all three chains.

It’s also worth noting that the problem is even worse with a male character - since this is all that the preview shows:

Yet another instance where locking dyeing as a function of the bench has made it worse than before, not better. Another of those wonderful Funcom ‘QoL’ changes that make the game worse than before.

The second one.
