Developer Stream Recap: November 7th, 2019

Your first question was answered. It’s in the recap and also linked on the various Funcom provided posts that are linked at the top of the post.

But to answer, private servers and single player can turn off the cap as they want, or set it to a different number. It’s a server setting.

I doubt pickup of Followers will be made available for offical servers. There are two different mods that let you do so on PC and private servers, don’t remember off the top of my head what happens when you use them as far as the follower equipment though.

To follow up and verify on multiguns reply, it was stated that for SP and private servers they could opt out (in lamens terms turn off) of the follower cap all together, or adjust the amount per clan.

Outside of the mod, any placed thrall/pet before the patch will not level up. Any over the limit will be deleted 1 per 30 minutes until that clan/solo hits their cap.

The grace period is not finalized for more than likely 2 reasons,
#1. they don’t have an official date of patch release yet, and
#2. they know the holidays are coming, so depending on #1, the time will vary to accommodate people on vacation.

I asked about changing there gear, not leveling system. I saw that in announcement thing for question thread about unlimited carfters. =3

Ooooh. Ya sorry, it wasn’t mentioned. Moddable only still for changing crafter outfits(Fashionist, IQOL I think but can’t remember, CharEdit, and Emberlight I think but can’t remember).

So… thralls on benches won’t level?
(Be cool to have this as a feature)

Correct. Sounds like they aren’t done visiting the leveling system (if you look at their comments about the Perk system). Whether that will ever expand to crafting Thralls? Can only speculate (at best), but could be neat to think about.

About other things coming up, I think I saw new building pieces in the “feats” panel .

It’s pictured on the bottom. Along with another partially hidden icon.

Oh I haven’t seen that at first, this update looks quite promising indeed .

Take it easy, @Multigun is right. To paraphrase Alex “making the changes retroactively is not worth the use of our combined efforts.”

I would assert that it is not worth their combined efforts to implement a system they have repeatedly said won’t be in the game: repocketing thralls. It would be better, and Jens Erik did allude to this – that there will be a concussibility stat among the attribute values – if we could bonk our favorites and re-wheel them for the apocalypse. Then send up Sag and nuke all world thralls from orbit, it’s the only way to be sure.

Then all they need to do, to satisfy you on this front, is to enable re-thralling our already converted duders. To me appealing for that seems more realistic and constructive than continuing to call people’s words into question by casually using an unfriendly acronym for “lies.”

I have always liked your spirit and enthusiasm for The Player. We need more players’ players. We have a different approach, and like in the gaming realm itself, I’m not here to tell you how to PvP.

Thus it’s not meant to be a judgment of you personally, though, maybe I should’ve said “I’d be satisfied” if they let us bonk our peeps and retrain them.

Cool man!

I am overall looking foward to this change. There are a few things which bug me, but I predominantly see it as a positive. Ill get the negative out of the way first. I am annoyed that this change is not retroactive. However, if Funcom gave us the ability to knock out and re-enslave our existing Thralls as @Barnes mentioned (even if only for a few week!), that would do nicely for me. My biggest gripe is that there wont be a ‘stand-down/engage’ or in other words aggro ‘on or off’ option. We have all asked for this numerous times, and if we are doing Thrall overhauls and adjustments, it was the perfect time to implement it. Sigh.

Ok now onto the positives. I love the idea of being able to level up my Thralls, and especially my Pets. Oh and Mounts too of course. This will encourage me to alternate between followers, and provide more in game goals and activities. I cant wait to try it out. 60 Thralls is sufficient for me personally as a purely Offline Singleplayer. Although I do feel for and empathise with some of my brothers and sisters in clans on officials.

Dont worry folks, I predict they will adjust the number upwards; as I havent seen this many concerns and negative replies for any decision in the games history. This was just an opening bid.

I am also posting this here, as the main feedback thread has become monstrously bloated.

QUESTION:
Will we be able to use Healing Arrows on Pets and Mounts after the system is implemented??

Please say yes…
