Hello,
Is there a way to disable building decay on a private dedicated server?
When I edited the the ServerSettings.ini in the following location: Steam\steamapps\common\Conan Exiles Dedicated Server\ConanSandbox\Saved\Config\WindowsServer\ServerSettings.ini
and added in the line: DisableBuildingAbandonment=True (this line was not present in the file)
The server no longer appeared on the server list. I needed to restart the server, and when looking over the ServerSettings.ini file the line had been removed.
I didn’t see any option in game either to disable it.
Thank you,
-Edit-
Further to the above, I have tried the Server Settings panel but I am unable to make myself Admin for some reason… I’ve tried the password but nothing happens. I’ve changed the password and attempted again, nothing. I’ve also tried the console command MakeMeAdmin and Makemeadmin with the password following, but still no luck… Does anyone know how to gain admin access?
-Final Edit-
I figured it out! For those having the same issue to the above:
Edit the file named DefaultServerSettings.ini located in: Steam\steamapps\common\Conan Exiles Dedicated Server\ConanSandbox\Config and add the Admin password of your choice there.
Launch your dedicated server and login using the normal server password. Press Esc, go to Settings, Server Settings. Click the Make Me Admin button and enter your newly entered Admin password.
This will give you admin privileges and allow you to change building abandonment settings etc.
Side Note! If your server no longer appears on the list after editing the admin password in DefaultServerSettings.ini, Click the Direct Connect option when looking for servers and direct connect using your local IP address or whichever IP settings you’re using.
Enjoy!
