This maybe because you didn’t find out that there are four skeleton bosses and not 3. You have to farm all 4 or them at least 3 times the day for about 2 weeks. Believe me you will see it. Sorry if i jumped to wrong conclusions, maybe you allready know that there are 4 of them, still that was my mistake before i get one. The 4th skeleton boss is on a broken bridge and you have to climb to get to him. This boss gives you a fantastic hammer too. I suggest you however to have with you the improved climbing gear, because this climb is tricky and you might fall just before the edge

@sestus2009 this is the one of 3 reasons i go for this recipe from the beginning of the game. I know it will be useful later but i don’t see a reason to do the climb twice

I do that one too, still now drops, I normally only get to do 1 run a day but been doing it for months

True, sometimes it happens to get very rare pieces very often. But my personal experience in this game is giving me sword of crom easier than riptide 
. Still in my pvp clan i was the predatory blade farmer, my team mates spend hours to farm one and coming back empty . I was waiting for them to log out and i was going for farming. So when they log in again they would found in their inventory a predatory blade . I say it a lot of times in the past and i am sorry if i am repeating my self, i hate pvp, still you can always found a role in pvp games, i was THE FARMER. No raid, no steal from my side, only farming. I loooooove to farm and organize huge facilities, so that was my participation on pvp .

In an interesting development over the weekend it turns out I already had one stashed away in one of my Legendary weapon chests. 
No idea when I actually obtained it. I mut have not realised what it actually does upon recieving it (its item description is a little decieving), then just gone…meh, and stored it. But it has been getting some actual use now.
I know how you feel Tytan, it is a hard item to drop in my experience. It took me several months of farming the Skeletons, much like Stelagel said. And I was absolutely relentless in trying to land one. Mainly because it was the first Crom artifact in the game, and as a zealous Crom loyalist for me it was like retrieving a lost sacred artifact…I just had to have it! Not sure if this helps or not, but in the end it was the Skeleton Boss near the large brazier, right near the Slave Pits which dropped my one.

See this is where the RNG is both a curious, erratic and frustrating thing all in the one bundle. I wont exaggerate and say that I land buckets of them, but the Lying Bastard has actually been one of my more frequent drops. I think I have had around 4-6 of them thus far. Being an Offline Singleplayer and hence not in competition with other players I dont really tend to farm over and over. I just land one of the item I am hunting for myself, or two if I want to display one, then leave it at that. I dont give Legendaries to slaves in my game.
Tobi04 if I could, I would gladly trade you a Lying Bastard for one of your Lovetaps in a heartbeat mate! But are you sure I wont be leaving you short, having only 29 left for yourself…!?

Not too short as I never really use them myself . I prefer sethzs truncheon or even the normal steel truncheon. Don’t like the animation of maces

Love tap use is diferent for me. I will go some months back, when the AI was confused by the weapon change on the thralls. So my follower was using Ajas bane and if it was necessary i was swapping with love tap without AI problems . It was very handy on purge too,

I actually have Szeths Truncheon tobi04, but would prefer to have a Lovetap myself. Its not that Szeths Truncheon is bad (it may well be better), but rather it just looks like a reskin of the steel truncheon. Whereas the Lovetap looks more ‘unique’. I like to collect and wield unique/one of a kind objects in games. I was the same with Skyrim. So its more just a personal preference than anything else. Szeths would also be less of a headache to obtain though, as it has a fixed spawn location, and is not competing against dozens of other artifacts in the RNG ‘competition’.

I like to use the Predatory Blade with a Advanced blunt weapon fitting. Knockin on heads or cutting them off one handy tool. Although I have killed a few NPC,S I meant to take home.
