Emotes are screwed up

Anyone else finding that characters are missing all the base game emotes that they’re supposed to start with?

Also, anyone else finding that every time they re-start the game, all the emotes learned in the previous session have been lost again? (In singleplayer they’re gone every time, but maybe on a server they only disappear when the server restatrts?)

i thoguth this was just as the obelisk… i started to pick up the emotes today from the isle of siptah,

Yep. I tried getting some of them again in game and it doesn’t save them after server reset. Idk what the deal is.

From your post on mine, are you on a Windows server?

Yes, same here. was a UE4 save that got ported to UE5

I think the game is not adding emotes I unlock via in-world books to the emote wheel as it should… Im on Enhanced.

I’m curious if this happens on new saves under Enhanced.

I AM on a new save in enhanced. Online official pvp. The game has added NONE of the emotes I unlocked ingame via books to the emote wheel. Only emotes in there are the starting ones and the ones I have bought from bazaar.

The emote unlocks dont work.

Yep, just wanted to clarify.

It could have been a migration issue if it was strictly Enhanced existing saves, but if it’s a new Enhanced save (as in completely fresh), then it’s not that.

Inflexion is aware of this bug and is looking into it.

Yep, you are correct, I’m on windows (actually singleplayer, but that just means the same machine running local server and client - most details are supposed to be the same). This is a new save on enhanced (rather than having ported across from UE4), so it’s good to also have Kineath confirming that it’s also the same for a save that was ported across.

That’s interesting. For me, they definitely go onto the wheel once learned, but they then vanish again when I restart (which hyp3rstrike was able to help match as being server reset rather than character relog - since they are the same thing in singleplayer so can’t divide them to determine which).

Yup, I had a chance to communicate briefly with Steve on the discord last night and he mentioned that  I gave him what extra details I could to hopefully help them narrow down the search.

Can confirm. Only got a few of them and missing a lot. “Sit” for example.

Happened in Single Player and on our own Server.

I too, can confirm. After every server restart our player are missing the emotes they learned while exploring. We can reliably reproduce it, by just restarting the server.

I believe the team is aware of this issue and currently working on a future fix :woman_bowing:

Same…after I ran my butt to Seper to get the Snake Dance.

Official Server crashed and now I don’t even have the War Dance…let alone the Snake Dance.

…this is extremely irritating as I don’t have a mount and it took about an hour to get to Seper and almost as long (since I knew the route) to get back home.

…Really hope I don’t have to do this all over again. -_-’

Not only that. But we are also unable to learn the in-game world emotes such as the ones laying around in Sepermeru and the ones you can find in Siptah (litle books).

Not sure if it’s different, but I was able to relearn Submissive (Emote) twice; back to back. It didn’t say the usual “you already know this” like crafting recipes do.

Thank you Dana. That is my understanding as well (one of the Inflexion devs said on discord that they are looking into it - I tried to give him all the info I could to help them narrow down when it happened). It’s really appreciated having you here at the weekend putting out information

@illutian I would recommend not going out of your way to learn emotes/dances for the time being, unless you really need them for some reason. The fix will come, but for the moment we are going to keep losing them so it’s probably better not to go long distances to get them. I know it’s frustrating for now, but it will get fixed.
I’m not sure if the ‘double learning’ is different either - I think it always worked that way, but I really can’t be sure.

@Mad_hornet28 yeah, it seems to effect all emotes that can be learned (but it’s good to have confirmation that it applies on Siptah as well. Thanks.)

Aaryn has since said it is already fixed and waiting for the next patch.

Even better - I missed that, having been out all day. Thanks for the update
