You’re wrong. This is not a solution to the problem. The error must be resolved by the update publisher and thus by Funcom. I don’t think the G-portal will run its servers without protection now.
Never said it was a permanent solution I even said that they need to fix it if you read you would know that. I said it is a temporary fix for private server hosts.

I bet that everyone that has this problem - i.e. everyone in this thread - has a VAC-ban from some point in time, for some reason.

I have a “game ban” from PUBG. Not VAC. Best I could determine was the “They are Billions” trainer I was using triggered something on PUBG.
That being said steam says it’s a “Game Ban” and not a VAC ban. Also it was over 1500 days ago.
“Game Bans are not VAC Bans and they are issued by the individual game. Steam Support is unable to remove your in-game bans or to provide you with further information about your ban. All the information you can receive about the ban has been provided to you in-game.”
Same issue but I:
Installed a new Harddrive, Re-installed Windows.
And on a fresh windows installed steam, Connan, and battleye.
So It is 100% the Patch.
And YES! I have a VAC-Ban from 400+ Days ago on a totally different Game. I actually bought Connan after the VAC-Ban. So if this is a new policy they are implementing, They messed up Big time. Big legal issues with that.

Next on CNN, Funcom checks credit scores over whether players can or cannot use their super buggy game.

The ban on my account thanks to my son, is from 1,300+ days ago but again, I think it’s not a ToS change they made because we’d be able to get refunds if so. It really has to do with the fact that they made a change to something that affects who can or cannot log in. Which is the family sharing change they made.
I’m sure this is not someone’s malicious intent, a similar situation was when the Denuvo was turned off. steam link just wrote about vac ban, but in the game itself I could connect to servers with vac anti-cheat and and battleye.then it was fixed.

buy the game on a new account, get rid of the vac ban through the support (valve was never removed), the server admin starts with -nosteam, just delete the game and forget.

Yes, because I am going to buy the base game $40 + Siptah $20 + $99 worth of dlcs because of a vac ban from a whole different developer and game just as a charity to a company that has customer service on par with that of Indian Telephone Scammers.

The Ban had nothing to do with FUN COM
If they dont fix it ill just add it to the dust pile and go back to ARK
PS Refunds should be handed out to anyone who hasnt broken a rule if they dont want to fix it

Ive asked them to Remove the ban from long ago for a different game or refund me Conan and all DLC
Ill update which way the battle goes

Same problem - Authentication Error. Never had an issue before the patch. I’m the Server Admin too so this blows.
I own 2 server
Both were shutdown five minutes ago

True and we haven’t accepted a new revised version of their ToS that would aid them in this situation if it is indeed leaning towards this.
