I just bought this game and am trying to figure out why it is such a PITA to stay connected to online play. I’ve done the reboots, I’ve done the cache clears, I’ve done the reinstalls. I load single player to play online (really??? C’mon…) I use the official servers - presumably - for consistency. I selected the server with the lowest ping two days ago and now the ping is 380. My download speed is confirmed 200MB and upload is 20MB. The Xbox is seeing that full bandwidth and has router priority. Not sure what else to try so that I can connect, stay connected for more than 10 min, and actually play the game…
Hello @Gwfran, could you let us know if this only happens in official servers and whether your console is on a wired or wireless connection?
Additionally, please provide a few official server numbers to which you have connectivity issues as an example.
Official Server 2506. I’m on a wired connection. Offline works fine. I haven’t tried other online servers yet.
Trying again today and it’s 250ms ping. Launched twice into server, crashed twice. Second time, I played offline for 15 min before attempting to connect. No joy.
I’m playing in www.TheShatteredVale.com RP server and it is working fine. No crashes. Still crashing out of the official server.
Now, in 2506 I load in to quickly recreate my character, select A to confirm, and nothing. A couple seconds later the game crashes.
