Game Crash after Launching

The following is my bug report:

Bug Description:

After I open the Funcom Launcher and click the Launch button, the game starts to load (it shows the Conan Exiles splash screen) but then the screen goes black for a few seconds before crashing. The Funcom error report dialog pops up (but the game screen remains black in the background). I have to CTRL-ALT-DEL to get the task manager up and “end task” the ConanSandbox.exe process.

Bug Reproduction:

1. Launch the game from Steam.
2. From the Funcom Launcher, click the “Launch” button.
3. See fatal error popup box and error report dialog.
4. Cry because I can’t play Conan Exiles

Thank you for your report. Please follow the steps to verify your game files:

1. Open Steam
2. In Library, click with the right button on the game and select “Properties”
3. Select the Installed files
4. Select Verify integrity of game files….
