The altar continues with the dome, even when I withdraw the archpriest, is this normal?
Yes, dome will stay up for a set period of time (36 hours?) with or without the archpriest being on the alter. The bubble will go down if the alter is destroyed though.

Unless you get the bug like we have. Our “Dome” has been up for over 2 weeks now. We destroyed the altar after 1 week hoping it would go away. Its still there. (private server/ online/ multiplayer)

Yeah, this is a known issue. Used to be caused by server restarts. Not sure what is causing it now because it seems to be random from server to server. Should be fixed soon*TM.
