Golems make followers attack them...Still

Platform: PC/ Steam
Issue Type: Thrall/ Follower attacking golems
Game Mode: Vanilla and creative
Server Type: Single-player and Online PvP
Map: Exiled lands
Server Name: Multiple servers/ Oceanic PvP and Single player.
Mods: No mods

I create a golem and after about a minute of trying to find walkable surfaces for it manage to place it. After that, I hit the golem and all my other followers started attacking it.
Even other golems are affected.

Also trying to find walkable surfaces for the golems is a nightmare.

Greetings Exile,

Thank you for your report. We understand you observed this in multiple servers, but could you give us a couple of examples of official ones?

Also, could you record a short video to better showcase the issue?

We appreciate your support.

Official Oceanic Servers #1961 and #1962 as examples.

as for videos, these are all recorded in single player but the golems behaved the same as on the official servers for me.
The reason for single player is my clan was recently wiped by cheaters on officials and we have no reason to return as of yet. We find it’s best not to fight them as they mass report anyone who tries to fight them, using alternate accounts.

I hope these videos turned out good enough.

Thank you for sharing. Sadly the videos seem to be set to private. Could you change them to “unlisted” instead?

This also occurs in Single-Player.
Settings:

You need to have PvP enabled for friendly fire.
If the “Can damage player owned structures” is disabled, it might only trigger when your golem is following instead of guarding. If this option is enabled, it doesn’t matter whether the golem is guarding or following.

→ Have a golem and any other follower(s), another golem is possible.
→ Hit your golem with anything, and see your other nearby follower(s) attack it as if it were an enemy.
↳ Moving the golem either through follower command, or through the radial wheel “Move and Guard” option does not solve anything.
↳ Currently the only way to solve this for me has been to move the golem very far away before moving it back to its original place.

Extra: Have two or more golems next to each other, and hit all of them. Enjoy watching them all trying to fight like idiots :notlikethis:

Sorry about that, I’ll update it now.

Thank you both for the additional information. We asked our team to investigate where is this hatred coming from!

Have a great weekend!

Thank you for your patience

Sounds like these thralls have some animosity towards the idea of getting replaced by a automatic robotic work force.

Same issue here on EVERY official server and a private server I play on. Please fix golems they are almost useless as it is. Or has the entire team checked out just hoping Dune kicks off good. Official servers are horrible and constantly crash if more than 20 players log on. The entire southwest of Siptah is unplayable and causes game to freeze since a recent update. Please stop giving us template responces and push for fixes its not like the team is unaware of some of the major bugs in the game for the last 2 years that still exist… but by all means keep adding content without fixing anything and just add more layers of buggy codes. Dune is going to be laugh given how the entire Funcom team handles bugs and the outright lack of care for players who enjoy this garbage pile that is amazing if not for the horrible service.

Small update: Smoke arrows seem to make the situation much worse.
