I’ve seen a bunch of tickets on this. Inventory is working but controls have changed. If you are trying to access a bench, loot bag or chest, you need to use the right thumb stick to move the cursor over from your inventory to the other inventory. Then use the left stick to navigate. Then if you want to move back, or move to a crafting option, use the right stick again. It’s not organic at all.
Running, however, is broken and I have not found a workaround yet.
It blows my mind this stupid change was intentional. Do they hire toddlers to design UI/UX?
Steps needed to upgrade an item with a kit before the update:
Move left thumbstick to the item you want to move
Press button to select item
Move left thumbstick to your inventory
Press button to apply kit
Now:
Move your right thumb from the buttons to the right thumbstick
Move change panels with right thumbstick
Navigate to your item with left thumbstick
Move your right thumb from the thumbstick to buttons to select the item
Move your right thumb from the button to the thumbstick to change panels
Move your cursor with left thumbstick to navigate to the item
Move your right thumb from the thumbstick to the buttons to press the upgrade button
Press the button to apply kit
Bravo, designer. Just bravo
Literally everyone I know who launched the game after update (including 2 new players) thought the game is broken and had no clue how to navigate to the other panels.
Amen, i seen no problems with the way inventory/ crafting selections work before… why change it, i was going to put in a ticket for this but i wilk try this first. Thanks. Still doesn’t fix the running problem… i play solo or co-op. Asigning thralls to workstation and or collecting tamed animals are problematic as well
