In the next update will I be able to build large buildings in the open sea?

there is also a limit in the sky the castle shows the limit.

That is some absolutely beautiful work there @Will1, I have been becoming fond of your nautical exploits. And as someone who has OCD, I just love the symmetry on display here.

Hey @Will1 can I make a suggestion for a future project? Since you enjoy building aquatic themed structures, have you ever considered building a floating Temple of Dagon…?

Thank you, I published it in creative, they are the first to say that it is incredible.

The Atlantis.will1 v2 - #6 by Will1 I don’t know how to tag names in the forum.

I use a translator. My builds are limited to semi-technological and ancient Greek culture. I would have to do more research on Dagon to imagine a temple or watch a movie. but without knowing anything he could not build. but thanks. I have read but I am not sure that Dagon kidnaps man and women to turn them into fish and that those who worship them are cruel. is my enemy.

:slightly_smiling_face: Because they want a temple of Dagon, a very good member of the Lucidique forum, if I’m not mistaken, told me to try to build it. That he is building it or that he built it, I did not quite understand.

Hey Will1, unfortunately my own lore expertise is limited to the subject of Crom. But perhaps a dear friend and lore afficionado @Oduda could tell you a little more about Dagon, his backstory and nature?

Well, if you are looking for the original Robert E. Howard works, then you are pretty much out of luck. In “The Devil In Iron” there WAS a city called Dagon, now ruins and know as Xapur. This was on an island in the south of the Villeyet Sea. However, this city was founded by Khosatral Khel, not by Dagon, and his people were killed by their slaves, the Yuetshi, who rose up in rebellion and now live in small semi-nomadic bands on the southern shore and remember little to nothing of the past.

That being said, Dagon the god himself does not ever actually appear in the writings of Robert E. Howard in any of the Conan tales so you would have to look outside of that, and on that you would be better off asking someone such as @Jimbo than myself.

Or there’s the real life version of Dagon worshipped in ancient Syria

I have been invoked.

Dagon has roots in real-world history, being mentioned in the christian bible as a rival diety. However, I don’t like discussing real-world topics pertaining to religion; and beyond the namesake, there are no other similarities.

The Dagon we know of in the scope of the lore is rooted in H.P. Lovecraft’s Cthulhu Mythos. He is the patron god of the Deep Ones, an ancient race born of the children of Cthulhu. They reproduce by mating with humans, and their offspring are born looking human at first. As they age, they become more monstrous until they reach a final stage around when a normal mortal would pass of old age, at which point they shed their last sense of humanity and pass below the waves to live with their kin, to live forever.

His human worshippers usually are so because of the promise of immortality, and the fabulous treasures and knowledge given to them by the Deep Ones in exchange for procreation. The Lemurians worshipped Dagon, with the Witch Queen’s powers stemming from his divine influence; it was also his powers that trapped the sand elemental in a temporal loop, through his priest Petruso.

So… they’re just human… but with too much botox.

If botox somehow gave you the ability to breathe underwater and grow infinitely larger like a lobster, sure.
