Inventory/container sorting keeps resetting to custom

Bug Reproduction:

1. log into game
2. access inventory/container
3. set sorting to name or other criteria,
4. exit game
5. log back in and the sorting criteria for every container and inventory is back to custom.

It even occurs without exiting the game.

There are reports of this issue on going way back to 2018!!!

Inventory/Container Sorting Issues?

Inventory sorting settings not saving between sessions

Game mode: [Singleplayer] Problem: [Bug/Misc] Region: [AU/PAL] Every time I load my singleplayer save up, my inventory sort setting is back on Custom, even though I always have it set on Name, yet if I do the same with the PC version, it stays on Name between sessions. Happens on PC for me as well, private server.

the fact that there are previous reports of this use going back 5years, i won’t hold my breath of it getting fixed.
