The doors in the Midnight Grove close when the boss dies, rather than open. At first, I assumed this was “working as intended” as I died to the gorilla boss, and thought the door had opened ot be a shortcut back for repeated attempts, the door closed on his death and I proceeded through the side doors that lead to other areas. However, then I reached the bull boss, and after killing him the mists cleared but the door was closed and I was trapped. As you can not climb out of this area I was completely stuck. I ended up removing bracelet, respawning in the dungeon and running back to my corpse which I had left at the door, tanking the mists from the respawned bull (which re-opened the door). Obviously this is a bigger issue for the bull boss, as you are completely trapped in the arena and suicide is the only option to get out.
Please provide a step-by-step process of how the bug can be reproduced. The more details you provide us with the easier it will be for us to find and fix the bug:
- Die to any boss in the Midnight grove
- Kill that boss, observe the doors closing after death
