Bug Description:
Logged in to server today 12/42025 to find entire base gone. I log in every Thursday. Event log tells me that base was set to abandoned and 12/1 and deleted everything on 12/2. So I figured ok I’ll start over yet again but not able to mine or harvest trees. Been on for alsmost 30 minutes but can’t harvest anything with axe or pick. I took photos of my character standing inside a tree and rock. I can email the pics to whoever. Just curious why base got set to delete and why I can’t harvest. Base been in same spot for couple years now so little disheartening if I have to start over yet again. Thank you
Perhaps the logs indicate a non-regular server start on the day you last logged in? I believe sometimes when a server crashes, a backup is restored. Then it’s as if you were never online. At least, that’s happened to me before.
​Not being able to harvest is also familiar to me. it resolves itself after some time or was limited to certain regions. Maybe it’s not connected to the first issue
This is definitely a thing. Server crash and rollback makes sense but whatever the reason is if you wait more than a few days between refreshes you are taking a chance on losing your base.
Event log for past 30 days shows no crashes just regular restarts and I’ve had the same routine for logging in every Thursday for past 3 years and this has never happened. I log in Thursdays even if I”ve played the day or even a few days before. It’s not so much loosing the base and all I had that can all be replaced and rebuilt, but not being able to harvest does make it quite difficult to do so. I stayed in game for almost an hour traveling all over and nowhere I went was I able to harvest.
That’s how it goes on the decaying bases. I refreshed mine not long ago using a repair hammer to check the time. 240 hours left… I logged in the next day and it was at 68 hours left with no indication of a server crash. Crash and rollback just being speculation anyway.
That does remind me. If you aren’t then always use a repair hammer to check the remaining time. Just logging in for a minute or even two sometimes isn’t enough to refresh the base.
I have no idea about consoles and harvesting. If reconnecting to the server, re-equipping tools and/or making new tools, assuming you can pick up branches and rocks, doesn’t fix it then that sounds like something is severely wrong.
Yep using repair hammer and normally on for about 30 minutes to hour each log in. And I can pick up rocks branches basically do everything but harvest. I did manage to harvest yesterday but was literally on edge of map before it would let me and only on a few rocks and trees. The rest I could walk right through. Makes rebuilding a pain as I spend most of the time running back and forth. Rebuild in process just annoying losing a 3 year old base.
I am having the same issue. I was on just this week and my builds were in decay state. My main build was gone and all my thralls are missing. On both exiles and siptah. I have been playing for years. This is devastating. All those years wasted
