I logged out last night full stomach on food and water. I went to relax mode and sleep on back as I always do and logged in today to have everything in my inventory gone. Event log showed everything decayed that was on me because I died. But how did I die when I wasn’t logged in. I want my stuff back. These issues are getting ridiculous. I already lost all of my followers even though I was logging in and making sure all my timers were good. Funcom you got to do better. Start by getting me all of my inventory back. Im on official PVE server 1750.

I’ve died on the public server while not logged in a hundred times easy.
Last time, I logged out in the open area in my base, logged in naked next to my bed, full set of epic armor poof, legendary weapons? bye bye. Chest keys? Yup woosh gone.
And once it’s gone it’s gone.
And funcom ■■■■■■■■ up the thrall timers is a pretty regular occurrence now.
I Confirm since may be 7-10 days, your toon can die randomly while your disconect without no reason and not linked to other player, don’t happen often and is even rare, but it happens… game is totally f…
There’s a server setting that controls whether your body stays in the world when you log out. On official servers, that setting is on.
Funcom put that little tidbit in the hints on the loading screen. I feel like they might have done a better job of teaching players on official servers important details like that, but the fact remains that this is by design.
Sometimes people lose their stuff because they don’t know about this and leave their toon logged out where the mobs, the weather, or other players (on PVE-C and PVP servers) can get at them.
Other times people lose their stuff because a bug caused them to die while logged out.
The best advice I can offer is to place a chest next to where you log out inside your base and put all your inventory (and worn armor and hotbar items) in that chest before logging out, then put it back on when you log in.
They don’t do that. No one ever got that, and you won’t be the first.

Additionally, your body was protected inside a base?
