So I am using quite a few mods, but none of them affect wolves- well, at least they shouldn’t- and I am noticing that I am running into a large wolf that has red and blue runes on its sides. When I kill these wolves, I can’t harvest them with anything. I have tried a Star Metal skinning knife, a Star Metal hatchet, a Star Metal pick (and pickaxe), and even the Legendary cleaver, Reliable Butcher. None of them will allow me to harvest only this wolf. I haven’t had issues harvesting anything else I have killed. Well except with the undead, but that seems to be a hitbox thing as once I find the right angle I can harvest them. Does anyone know of any mods that would cause this, or is it an actual bug with the game itself?
That sounds likely to be a mod issue - I have not heard of (or seen) any wolf with red and blue runes on its sides. It is probably an extra creature being added by one of the mods.
(Sometimes modders do like to change things that aren’t technically ‘part’ of the mod - like a few years back it turned out a mod I was running to allow setting emotes for thralls (before that became part of the game) also changed the specialisation for Beri, because the modder had decided there weren’t enough armorers available with that specialisation.)
